If these make your headphones sound muffled it's for 2 reasons and you can fix one. Firstly they're thicker and make it harder for sound to escape. Secondly they have an extra padding in the center, your headphones already have a pre-installed pad so you don't need an extra one. I installed these pads and then pinched the center fabric pulling up and using scissors to cut out a hole, you can do this prior to installing them but I wanted to get a better idea of how much to cut out.

I'm gonna start this review by saying this. Beyerdynamic headphones rely a good amount on the pads to deliver the sound that they do. I was aware of this before I purchased. However, I wasn't aware of how drastic of a difference it would make when I put these on. My headphones went from clarity... to barely. It's like when you're standing outside of a club and the sound is super muffled. The lows and the mids are super recessed. And the highs are just as sibilant. Now that's about as bad as it gets. The comfort did get improved, as with the stock pads my ears rub against the driver cloth. These prevent that from happening. They are however a little too small for my comfort. The velour material is actually very plush and soft, quite different from the stock ones. They feel very nice to the touch. But they are just not for me. They ultimately scuffed the sound so much that the minor comfort improvement was not even close to being worth it. Your experience might be different though.

The comfort and quality is amazing, the thickness is also good, they fit okay, I can't hear sounds far away and I can't hear real quiet noises up close with these like I could with the original DT 990 pro padding, over all 8/10.

Such a huge upgrade for my mmx300! Super comfy and soft! Was not expecting the fleece like material, and they are almost twice the thickness of the originals. Better than new!

These are very soft and comfortable, even more so than the OEM velour pads - I've liked using them in winter. However, these do change the sound signature pretty significantly (probably not surprising for most people). Main things I would note with the sound with these (compared to OEM) is that it blocks more sound (so doesn't feel quite as "open"), bass feels stronger, and treble/highs don't sound quite as clear and sharp. I needed to spend a bit of time adjusting my equalizer settings to make sure my headset sounded right again with these pads on (although its till not quite as clear sounding as with the OEM pads). This is to be expected though given the pads are a different design and use different materials, and its a trade-off I was ready to make before buying them.

Nach ein paar Jahren war ein Wechsel nötig. Musste lange suchen, bis ich wieder die extra dicken und weichen Teile gefunden habe und bin sehr glücklich und zufrieden damit. Die Ohren sind innen frei und liegen nicht am Kopfhörer an, wie beim Original. Kleiner Tipp fürs anbringen: die Kopfhörer sind oval, daher sollte man oben oder unten an der schmalen Seite anfangen diese drüberzuziehen.

Die originalen Polster (von denen ich nun den zweiten Satz hatte) waren mir zu dünn da sie mit der Zeit ja etwas dünner werden. Die Polster machen qualitativ einen guten Eindruck und ich würde sie bis jetzt wieder kaufen. Die Polster dämpfen die Umgebungsgeräusche etwas mehr als die Originalen.
