I bought this unit because I have begun recording lectures for an online course. Since I don't have an assistant, I need to make video adjustments myself by remote. This unit pans and tilts at a single speed and even a quick button press is really too coarse an adjustment when either my face or what is on the board needs to be centered.. I need something with a fine tune option.Also, since I am facing the camera and not standing behind it, the pan direction is backwards. I would have liked a switch that reverses pan direction. Trying to do this seamlessly while talking into the camera is tough.One last gripe. The thumbscrew used to attach the camera to the device has two issues. The first is that the screw is way too long. My tripods have an adjustment wheel that snugs the camera up to the base. This unit simply has spacing washers. That wouldn't be too bad, but all of the tripods I have owned have a "c" clip midway up the screw that holds the screw onto the tripod when the camera is removed. This screw has no retaining clip and will just fall on the floor. So you are balancing the screw in place with three washers on top while finding the mounting hole under the camera and starting the threadsA lot of my gripes are application specific. Decide for yourself if this unit will work for you.

The media could not be loaded.  This is great for remotely controlling your phone camera. The remote works well because it’s not dependent on line of sight. I was afraid of somebody else putting on the phone might break it.

We are using this to adjust our MEVO camera in a Church. The basic operation is great, but if it could move a little slower and stop when you release the remote that would give it 5 stars.

As the title says, it works as you would expect, but each button press is something like 3-5°. This doesn't sound like a lot, but under many circumstances you can't center the frame exactly on the subject. overall a good product but motor needs to be stronger for smoother operation. It works fine when set to the fastest speed but this makes it harder to stop it where you want it. Works smoother at slower speeds but has trouble tilting the camera up and down when set at slower speeds. I have a Canon power shot attached.

As other reviews stated, this unit is smooth but very difficult to control - it overshoots the spot you are trying to focus on, Would be a really good unit for the price if it didn't have this problem.

To record my sons' sporting events, I've needed a tripod mount like this so that I don't need to hold my camera while following the action. Although I'd love to have a mount that automatically follows, the price point for those is simply more than I'm willing to spend for my limited use. This mount is exactly what I needed! Great price, and fits my needs perfectly!
