Not muted and definitely not mauve.
My search for the perfect cool mauve/nude lipliner continues…. this is darker and quite warm and pulls orangey on me. Muted implies dulled down and mauve implies a purplish undertone, this has neither. When I put it on to try, the colour that came to mind was terracotta. I’m a fair, cool skin toned blonde

Anastasia Beverly Hills absolutely nailed this shade! Chai is such a beautiful neutral lip liner that works wonderfully with so many of the nude, mauve and natural lip colors I tend to wear.The pencil goes on incredibly smoothly without dragging or skipping, but it still has enough structure to give me a nice, crisp lip line. Once it’s on, **it stays put**, which is exactly what I want from a liner. No disappearing act before my lipstick does!What I especially love is how easily Chai blends with my lippy rather than leaving that obvious “outlined lips” look. I can define the edges, blend it inward and top it with lipstick or gloss for a really polished, natural finish.Beautiful shade, smooth application, excellent staying power and wonderfully versatile. **Chai is definitely going into regular rotation! Five stars!

I only bought it because I love the ABH brand, the liner is mediocre and the colour is as advertised (im brown it was a little light)
