I will update my review if necessary then.There were problems with two kits I ordered where the UV light was the old one and the kit (i.e. resin) was past its expiry date by several months. The expiry date is in black on the black part of the box - it can just be made out if you look close).The seller (Uartzone) was helpful and has sorted it out for me. It appears that it might be a stock problem. Uartzone's customer service was good. As a consequence of their prompt sorting out my problems, I have now updated my review of this kit.

I have to admit, I'm an FDM printer type of guy who has never once attempted to use resin. I think that after using this kit, I'm a changed man! It's so easy and comes with all the things you need to get you going with the basics. The included UV device it comes with is awesome too, it cures it in a matter of seconds with no bubbles and cures completely clear. My only gripe would be that the bottles aren't big enough in the kit I got, but the just makes me want to get more! This definitely has brought out a creative side I never knew I had!

It helps to set the UV resin liquid very quickly in just a few minutes.I used other moulds as well as those provided to make my creations and I finished them off with the included glitter. Will be buying again

Most people into crafting are familiar with the more common epoxy resin kits that you get on the market. While this kit is similar in some ways it has some big advantages over epoxy resin, for a start you don't have to measure two components and mix them risking bubbles. Instead it becomes activated when subjected to UV light rays, it also 'cures' far quicker than epoxy resin which can take literally hours or days depending upon the size of the casting.However having said that epoxy resin has its place as UV resin is not suitable for larger items or for deep/thick moulds. Instead it is intended for smaller items and hence why this is sold as a kit for making jewellery, key rings, etc...Basically with UV resin you simply dispense as much of the resin as is needed to fill the mould you are going to use or even using the bottle you can literally draw shapes onto a silicone sheet or similar material that will allow it to be removed easily. Once you have filled your mould or created your design you expose it to UV light, you can do this using the supplied LED UV light or just leave it in daylight (sunny days are best). If the item you are creating is not too thick it should cure within minutes as opposed to hours which in some ways is so much more satisfying.In this kit you get 200ml of UV resin which doesn't sound a lot, but you'd be surprised how far it goes. In addition you have a whole host of accessories and items that can be used with the resin to create all sorts of goodies. This includes a silicone sheet which is always good for working on in case of spills etc... Some small moulds, fixings (for the jewellery) and colours and other decorative items to embed in the resin. Basically everything you would need to get started! Overall this is a great little kit for beginners or experienced crafters alike!
