I purchased this item as it appeared good value, but so far it has refused to work effectively, if at all, and my usual water softener maintainer has refused to maintain it because of probable repair item supply problems from China. My plumber has now had 2 goes at installing it. It also does a brine flush which takes over an hour and virtually turns off your water supply while it does it. Fine if it's in the middle of the night, but even then you might want to flush a loo. Going to give it one more week then return it if no progress.

I can't comment on the function of this unit. The box showed damage in various area's, on opening the blue lid section was damaged was only minor. I decided to install it as every thing else looked good, it was only when I started to commission the unit I notice I could hear water flowing, it turned out that the Brine float mechanism was in piece's and water was escaping out of the overflow outlet. I removed the unit put back in the box and it was returned to Amazon the next day for a full refund. I did not like the Programming section it was very clunky ( Chinglish ) I have bought a replacement from Calmag it is far better made and slightly cheaper and easy to set up. Amazon great with 100% refund and no fuss

Looks ok,easy to fit but instructions are appalling! No way of setting water hardness it just say set up the cubic meter setting! What? I just want to type in my water hardness like on my old water softener!! Pointless without knowing this!!
