Alphasaurus (Dinosaur) Board book – Picture Book, July 25, 2012

My three year old loves this book! He is dinosaur crazy, but is very specific as to the "type" of dinosaurs, meaning that he wants his dinosaurs to be happy and "cute" rather than growling and scary. That has proven to be rather difficult! This book, however, is perfect in that the dinosaurs are "realistic" while being toddler friendly. He loves to tell stories about what each dinosaur is doing. The illustrations are wonderful and the wording is silly, but he knows it by heart know. The book itself is very sturdy and still looks like new despite being dragged everywhere! I highly recommend this book to any preschooler learning the alphabet and loving dinos!

We also own Countasaurus and Shapeasaurus, and we love this book as well. The other 2 have less dinosaur types, but this one has 26 - one for every letter of the alphabet. Dinosaur names are notoriously hard to read, so of course this book can be a challenge for a toddler to even pronounce - But I love that he's learning them! The book is oversized, and beautifully illustrated, and has lots of detail to key in on while reading the pages. I love that we can stretch out the book length by showing the shapes and counting things along the way. These books are all long enough for a short bedtime story or short enough that I can read all 3 in a row if he wants before going to sleep. I love these books, I need to pick up the color one!

Love the design of book. Love the art work of book. Love the dinosaurs named by alphabet. Educational in knowing the names of dinosaurs. Fun book for age 3 or older.

Beautiful illustrations and lots of new dino names

This book is so cute and definitely stands out from the ordinary which is exactly what I look for when buying my son books. The illustrations are adorable. Each letter of the alphabet has a corresponding type dinosaur, which I have to admit still get me tongue tied. Overall, I am completely pleased with my purchase and look forward to buying more.

The outside of the book looks like it got banged up a lot during the delivery process. It's dented and the corners and edges are all scuffed and peeling back. Kind of looks like I picked it up and a used bookstore.

Cutest book! My grandson (2 1/2) is dinosaur obsessed and this book is perfect. There is dinosaur for every letter and great illustrations as well.

Thisis a great addition to our collection of dinosaur books. The first time we read it we tried to guess the dinosaurs the author used for each letter. We got "T" right but learned lots of new dino names through the rest of the book. The pictures are cute and playful--nothing scary or menacing. We will definitely add it to our dinosaur book rotation.
