This is a lot of fun, and provides a challenge for my clients at work, however I had to modify it in order to make their success more possible.The triangle on the bottom of the puzzle base is irregular and too small of a base of support to prevent this activity from tipping over MANY times during assembly. Full disclosure, women with more of a bust like myself will have more issues as just leaning too close to reach for another piece and the whole bit went toppling.I used a slightly larger version of the lid pictured (for another product I won't name or show the logo of because this is not the point), as using a shallow bowl which supports the bottom of the puzzle as well as the edges which over hang, better distribute the weight and allow the puzzle to rotate freely for visuals, without tipping as much.My only other qualm is there are no instructions but it is a fairly intuitive puzzle once the stability is sorted.

Here is an adult brain teaser! Many little pieces! (Keep away from small children - under 3 years - as pieces could be swallowed!)Probably some very bright children could solve this. It’s not just a square. It can be made into a cube - a very fragile cube. I know this because it arrived as a cube. Not because I’ve actually solved it myself once it immediately fell apart.Some pieces come marked with numbers. Most don’t. This may have some meaning. But there is no clue to that possible meaning.I personally find this very amusing, extremely challenging and posing this question: what if you lose even one piece?So before you unwrap this and half of it immediately falls apart, have a small container ready to save all the pieces you’re going to end up with. Please don’t swallow any! And caution children not to lose the pieces, unless you plan to buy another identical set.This would make such a fun gift. But put it into a container already - before the recipient makes a mess and didn’t know to save them all in container to start with.Adults will try to get the pieces back into a cube. Children may simply play with them, making interesting shapes or whatever creative children decide to use them for.These are colorful. Wooden. Would make a fun thing for your coffee table on a holiday.Recommended!

The puzzle doesn't come with a solutions page, but it's not needed, for the pieces precisely fit in a variety of combinations, building them one layer at a time to fill the puzzle. The downside is that the puzzle balances on an axis and is very unstable and tippy. The pieces are slick, and the whole thing tumbles and spills at the slightest slip of the hand. Not fun!

The puzzle I ordered is the larger one, the one with 40 pieces. The bricks are colorful, well made, and well fitted. I was surprised by its small size, but I can see that it may be a plus. Namely, if one wants to keep it handy on one’s desk for the occasional Zen moment of quiet, pleasant, fidgeting relaxation. It is visually pleasing enough with its bright colors to fulfill such function, but for that it definitely needs a box, preferably a translucent box, that would keep the puzzle together whether it is finished or not. Otherwise, the pieces are too small and light to stay together just in their wooden frame, and the puzzle will be depleted of its bricks in no time. So, a box is necessary to keep the puzzle together even if one does not want to have it displayed. The missing container is the reason for the one missing star in my review, as I had to find some other container to hold the puzzle together (see photo). This 3D puzzle is entertaining in a quiet, relaxing way and even though it is not very difficult to solve, one does feel one’s spatial skills and imagination work quietly and pleasurably while trying to solve it. It can be solved in several different ways and I believe it has something to offer at any age, above maybe 3 years, and I am looking forward to present it to my 8-year old grandchild next time he visits.

This puzzle itself is nicely made. Good quality workmanship, bright colors.I'll echo what everyone else is saying about a box. If you want to take your time finding multiple solutions to this puzzle, and have to put it down to do something else, it would be nice if it came with something to contain the pieces or the solved puzzle.

Honestly it's not that hard to reassemble this Zen Fun 3D Wooden Brain Teaser Puzzles for Kids. But I'm not a kid, I just like puzzles. This is one I wish I hadn't got. It falls over super easy dumping the pieces out at the slightest bump. Not really an issue as I can easily put it back together, but a matching clear plastic box shaped exactly like the cube to hold it all together when not being played with would've given this puzzle cube a couple more stars. The other thing that bugs me is the numbers on most of the pieces. I'm not sure of the purpose to them other than to distract or to help a child learn their numbers. I don't know. I think it looks better without the numbers and solved it with the numbers turned inward so they weren't showing. Two stars because it's made of wood and it's a 3D puzzle that could keep someone distracted for a minute or two.
