The Earth Mama Organic Milkmaid® Tea has been a wonderful addition to my breastfeeding routine. I’m a big tea person, however, I was nervous about the taste due to other reviews. Personally, I enjoyed the flavor it’s not a very strong tea, the flavor is kind of weak, so I would brew two tea bags at once to try to enhance the flavor then mix it with a little honey or maple syrup and it became one of my favorite teas. As far as lactation help I will give this tea all the credit because I went from barley pumping 0.5 ounces from both sides to pumping 4 ounces each side, but beware this tea does make your armpits stink a little extra because of the fenugreek.

I do like this tea. I feel like it does help boost my milk supply when I drink it regularly. The taste isn’t the greatest but I don’t mind it and I’m sure it’s because of the fenugreek. The only thing I don’t like is the packaging. I have ripped many tea bags trying to open up the packaging around the bag. I even “shake” the packaging to try and get the tea bag to slide down. But many times I have torn the packaging only to open it and find I ripped the bag open. I then have to throw away the bag and start new. Overall it does work for me but I wish the packaging were better so I wasn’t throwing away perfectly good tea

I was on the fence to try this or not because a lot of the time the "all natural" remedies just don't seem to work for me, but when my production started to slow (in correlation with a hormone drop) about a month ago I figured, "What have I got to lose?" Initially the smell was VERY off-putting because I am NOT a fan of fennel or star anise. Both are in this tea, and the fennel is the most predominate smell when the package is opened. This immediately made me skeptical of how it would taste, but again "what have I got to lose?" The first time I tried the tea I made a cup with about 12oz of water, let it steep for about 8 min, added about a tsp of honey and the taste was bearable. It is much more mild in taste than the smell had me thinking it would be. As far as how well this WORKS, I personally have not seen a dramatic increase in production that obviously correlates with drinking this tea. My decreased production lasted about two weeks. I started drinking the tea at 2-3 cups a day the beginning of the second week, and by the end of the second week I was only getting 0.5oz to 1oz more - out of both breasts combined - than what I was getting before starting the tea. That still wasn't the same volume I was producing prior to the hormone drop. My hormone levels have evened out once more and I am now producing almost as much as I was before the drop while still drinking the tea a couple times a day so definitely not seeing astounding results or producing an "over abundance" here.

I've tried all the teas for breast milk and this tastes the best by far. I add a black tea bag too and love the mix!

Okay product. not super impressive. The teabags' individual paper packaging definitely needs improvement. The paper wrapping is too "fit" to the teabags that when you tear it off, it's super easy to also make the internal teabags torn open and broken....

Not sure if this really helps with milk production, but it's herbal and I'm sure it's beneficial
