Fabulous product. Nicest cleanser I’ve ever used. Leaves skin feeling cleansed and soft.

Bought as a present for my daughter that is obsessed with skin care.Personally I think it is expensive but my daughter would beg to differ.The product seems to last ages which adds value for money and it hasn’t been harsh on her young skin.Obviously check out ingredients before you buy but this is one of my daughter’s favourite products.

I rarely write reviews but I think this product is a total rip off and ruined my skin (twice).The texture is not jelly, it’s a pretty standard gel consistency and it smells of old school soap.Pro: it does a decent job of cleaning the skin.Cons: it completely dried out my skin and has been causing me massive breakouts when I never usually get them. It also seems very overpriced and there’s nothing luxurious about the product except maybe the cute packaging but that’s not enough for me.I have combination/oily skin and first started using this product earlier this year when my skin was oilier, on a short trip. Within a few days, it felt dry AF, itchy and I started getting really inflamed breakouts on my cheeks. I’ve noticed that no matter how much I rinse it always seems to leave a sort of residue on the skin so maybe that’s why. I stopped using it, it took some time for my breakouts to go away but my skin eventually got back to normal.Fast forward a few months, as this is an expensive product and I ran out of my other cleansers I thought I’d try it again just to make sure. Big mistake! No matter how moisturizing the other products I used were, this kept drying me out. At first I was using it here and there alternating with another cleanser so I didn’t notice the effect as much (and had kind of forgotten what happened the first time). As soon as I switched to only using this one, even if it wasn’t a frequently as before, my skin became dry and itchy. Then I got massive breakouts again.I’ve stopped using it for about a week and guess what? My skin is back to normal and hasn’t been feeling dry, even though I’ve had a cold which usually makes it worse. But my angry red pimples will stay a while.I don’t think I could use it more than once a week without drying my face out and that kind of defeats the purpose.It was my first purchase from Drunk Elephant, I had heard so many good things but after this I don’t think I will be trying again.There are far better and more affordable cleansers out there, don’t waste your money on this!
