Worked well until it broke. Lasted a few months but it's plastic so didn't expect much

New design broke
Part that attaches to collar broke off within 2 uses without any pulling. Couldn't get a replacement from this company, was told to contact magloc direct but even they haven't sent a replacement having said they would. Really disappointed as it was a good product in theory for myself with deterority issues.

Quick, easy and secure.
I've been using this device for a little over three years, I recommend them to people all the time (although I haven't noticed anyone take that advice yet!) and I'm on my fourth, but more on that later.Firstly, the most important question, is it strong enough? I have a 25kg lurcher, he's all muscle and while very well behaved will occasionally 'go', he's broken collars but the Magloc held [This was with the old style wire collar connector, I haven't had a chance to test the new style yet].I work with dogs, other people's and I hate P-Clips, I hate sprung clips even more, when you've got a dog with long woolly fur, it's collar lost in the fur and the dog won't stay still attaching a p-clip is a pain, having to hold open a spring clip, hold the dog and the loop, and bring them together, and control other dogs.... It's a pain. If it's freezing cold and you really want to keep your gloves on it's worse. Some clips are awkward to release when the dog is excited to get off and run, and sometimes they get caught on the tag ring. The Magloc avoids all of this. With the Magloc I release my dog by pressing the buttons, I connect by holding the Maglock near the connector, that's it. It's simple, it's secure and it works. My dog is away while other owners are fiddling with clips and back on his lead while they're trying to get the loop. The downside. Don't expect it to last forever. The parts of the magloc that your dog pulls against are very strong, but the coloured shell is brittle, I've broken two (lost the third along with a lead) without knowing how I did it. Both times the dog was off lead so I think it knocked against something or got stepped on. I also had a couple of the collar connectors fall off the collar and get lost, these were the old style, hopefully the new design won't suffer from this. For best results use with a a collar with two D-rings to keep the magnet away from your dog's tags, or at the least use a brass tag and split ring so they're not sticking to the magnet. I ended up adding a second, nylon, D-ring to my dog's collar just for his Magloc connector.BTW: With the new plastic connectors. Remove the collar connector from the main magloc, hold the collar connector by the loop and pull the ring downwards toward the magnet end, (hold it where there are two triangles marked on the ring) the ring will slide down far enough to release the loop that can then be removed sideways. Reassembly is the reverse with it around the D-ring of your dog's collar.
