Bear Small Rice Cooker, 4 Cup 2L Multifunctional with Steamer, White

This little rice cooker is amazing. Rice comes out perfect every time. I have made a couple of complete meals with it - so rice topped with veg, fish and seasoning. Everything came out just right and tasted absolutely delicious.Some previous reviews mentioned that the clips break easily when needing to clean the rice cooker and so I am trying to be extra careful with that and cannot comment on longevity of use however - it does feel of good quality.. only time will tell.For the price I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a great affordable rice cooker that also looks lovely.

I knew I needed to switch from white rice to brown, and after some research, I decided to give the Bear a try. At under £40, it is incredible value.My previous, cheaper rice cooker was a disaster—half the rice would stick to the bottom and come out clumpy. The Bear has raised the bar entirely. Cooking rice is now effortless, though a quick tip for new users: watch your water levels! My first try with 4 cups was a bit too much (it sat at the porridge level), but using 3 cups and ensuring I didn't go past the marked rice level resulted in much better, fluffier rice.But the real game-changer is how this "intelligent" machine handles one-pot meals. It seems to sense the weight and ingredients to automatically set the perfect cooking time. Whether it’s chicken and brown rice with aromatics like ginger, garlic, and turmeric, or my latest experiment—a tomato, chickpea, and beef stew—the results are incredible.As someone who is disabled, standing or sitting at the stove for long periods isn't easy for me, and this cooker has been brilliant for that. It allows me to prepare healthy, delicious, "clean" meals from scratch with minimal physical effort. I set the stew to cook, and after the machine did its work, the beef literally melted in my mouth. While my photos show how great it looks, they really don't do justice to the incredible texture and tenderness of the meat and chicken.The beauty of this cooker is that you can just put everything in, close the lid, and go do something else. When you come back, you are blown away. It has far outshone my expectations; it’s not just a rice cooker, it’s a high-performance soup maker that beats anything I’ve eaten from a tin or even at many restaurants.If you are looking for a way to cook healthy, delicious meals with minimal effort, this is it. It’s fantastic—highly recommended!

I have wanted a rice cooker for forever and because I mess rice up every time we don’t eat very much rice and especially that we are switching all white food to wholemeal I thought if I can’t cook white rice I will only really mess up brown rice, so a rice cooker it was.😊I searched for ages comparing products and prices and settled with this Bear 6 and I have not been disappointed! What a dream finally eating well cooked tasty rice.I made basmati using the white rice setting it came out perfect. Since then, I have made brown rice several times and not been let down at all. The rice is always cooked evenly and fluffs with a fork with ease.This is a neat looking rice cooker, quite compact as I found a space to store in the cupboard.The instructions are simple, easy to understand (although there is very little instructions needed to use this cooker). It comes with a measuring cup for rice, wide plastic spoon/spatula and the markings in the pot are super clear making it easy to then add the water to the line / depending on rice amount measured.What I have found though is that it takes quite some time to warm up & cook the rice, so I now get the rice in the cooker ahead of making the rest of the dinner. The rice has never stuck to the non-stick pot, and it is really easy to clean.When the rice is cooked it beeps and then turns automatically to Keep Warm – usually by this time I am ready to dish up but if I’m not it’s not a problem bc my rice is still kept warm.We are a family of 3 and this size is more than big enough for us (I have only ever used 2 cups and there is always plenty leftover) but it does cook for more than 2 cups.Also includes steamer basket – this is really small though and I haven’t yet used it and can also be used for porridge, soup etc.Highly recommend - so pleased I settled with this Bear 6 - I Love it..

For the most part, this is a great steamer - straightforward to use and very effective. Instructions are mostly clear and settings work well - I happily made rice and even bone broth using the soup setting! I would caution the porridge setting though; the recommended liquid:oats ratio is off and can lead to overflow. If that happens, you pretty much have to get a new unit because you can't completely take it apart to clean. The instructions are helpful but do use your own judgement too and check advice online if your not sure. Generally speaking, this unit is very easy to clean though and, providing nothing has spilled into the main heating chamber, most can be gotten to to clean. Compact enough to comfortably fit in the cupboard, with cute details e.g. bear heads on the steamer basket holes. Rice is perfectly cooked - using broth or adding a spoon of miso/stock helps improve flavour further. Would recommend and buy again. Amazing value for money.

Brought this for my partner as they cook rice daily, it cooks rice very well and keeps it warm after it has finished cooking. It’s easy to store on top of cabinets or inside. There is a measuring level inside the bowel you cook in making putting water in so easy and it’s so easy to clean.

Didn't hear it from the next room. Thankfully it automatically went immediately into keep warm mode, so was still warm when we checked it.

Cute little rice cooker!Cooks rice well, only a couple of issues -The rice paddle isn’t textured which means the rice sticks to it so I recommend getting a new one.Also the measurements it gives for the rice to water ratios are a bit off. Always just cover the rice with an inch or so of water, don’t rely on the guide lines!Aside that I think it works well for what I need ✨

Ho acquistato questo cuociriso Bear da 2 litri perché cercavo una macchina semplice ma funzionale per preparare il riso in modo costante senza dover controllare continuamente la cottura. Dopo diversi utilizzi posso dire che si è rivelato un ottimo acquisto.La prima cosa che mi ha convinto è la praticità: è compatto, occupa poco spazio in cucina e si pulisce facilmente. La capienza da 2L è perfetta per una o più persone, quindi lo trovo ideale sia per l’uso quotidiano sia per preparare porzioni più abbondanti quando serve.La cottura del riso è uniforme e il risultato finale è molto buono: i chicchi restano morbidi ma ben separati, senza attaccarsi eccessivamente al fondo. Anche la funzione vaporiera è utile, soprattutto per cuocere verdure o altri alimenti in modo semplice mentre il riso cuoce.Apprezzo molto anche il pannello comandi, che è intuitivo e facile da usare. Le varie funzioni permettono di sfruttarlo non solo come cuociriso, ma come piccolo elettrodomestico multifunzione davvero pratico. Are you kidding me?? I cannot say enough about this little beauty! First it is the perfect size for me and my husband. The rice comes out PERFECT everytime!!! The blue is beautful!! You will not be disappointed. Its so easy to use!! Just follow the instructions. It only takes about 20 - 25 mintutes to cook the most perfect rice ever!
