Surprisingly not overpriced
Been struggling to grow my chaeto in my AIO refugium using full spectrum lights. If they’re small enough to fit the Refugium chamber they’re not bright enough. Finally bit the bullet and bought this light and was wowed with how bright it is. It was clear it was working because within 24 hours the chaeto was producing so much oxygen it was covered with bubbles and floating. The light is well built and now that I see how bright it is I realize that the price is appropriate. Even came with metal brackets to allow two of them to be connected together for larger refugiums.

Works well
I started with a few strands of chaeto that hitchhiked with another algae I purchased. In one month I had to throw away some of it because it would not fit anymore in the protein skimmer compartment of the Fluval Evo 13.5 g tank. I don't know how fast chaeto grows with other lights, but this works for sure. It is quite expensive for the size but it is convenient to mount on the side of the Evo tank.

Works great but should have gotten the 18 watt double
Works good. I have an IM 150g Nuvo INT and I bought the single 9 wat and the bracket that comes with the sump is built for the 18 watt but it works. Sticks on with adhesive that comes with the light. Light also comes with a mount but I use the bracket, works great so far and the chaeto and red ogo is already grow quite nicely.

Works great but only lasted 1 1/2 year.
This is my second one , im using it on IM 30 Long on the outside of a rear chamber for chaeto, works great, but the first stopped working 1 1/2 year later . Im not sure if the light went bad or the power plug . would of been nice if they put a disconnect in the cord like they do on on most wavemakers . I will have to cut the cord to test the plug. Id does grow chaeto well.

Great light!
This is a great light for the refugium. I have the IM Nuvo 20g all in one tank. I decided to use the 2nd chamber as my refugium. I purchased an IM Media Caddy and took out one of the shelf’s. Ball of chaeto in the larger compartment and some marine bio sphere in the lower shelf. This light is perfect! The perfect size, amount of brightness. I mounted it directly to the back of my AIO compartment. Note: some IM tanks have a black vinyl sticker on the entire back of the AIO compartment. Using a straight edge and a box cutter I had to LIGHTLY score the section of vinyl to remove so the light could penetrate into the accessories compartment. Took about 3 mins to do. (IM should really include something about this step in the directions) Like other have said, no timer but I use Samsung SmartThings home automation system so just plugged this light into one of my controlled outlets and set an automation to turn on at 1800 and off at 0600. Piece of cake.
