I read the first five when I was a young child and just never read the rest as I grew out of the middle grade level before the series was finished. I now have a daughter and have been reading some middle grade fiction books with her as bedtime stories (she's 1 y/o), as a way to stimulate myself past the basic board books that we read when she is more awake. They are fantastically written and will be saving them for when she's older. I think that the author does a fantastic job of writing an interesting story, but ensuring that both educational and life lessons are taught throughout the series.

My son has been wanting this set for awhile, so we found it on Amazon and made the purchase. Ordered Friday and got in Tuesday. He is happy with this set and hasn't put book one down yet, and it's been a couple hours now.

Great book series for preteens!

definitely a must buy, received all the books in perfect condition. i read some reviews about how they had pages missing or they received the books slightly damaged but so far im on book 6 &' i haven't noticed any pages missing yet, i did skim through the others books &' didn't notice any others missing pages either or any real damage.i was obsessed with the books as a kid but never read all 13, so happy i was able to buy all 13 for an amazing price! i haven't been able to do anything else but read since receiving the books! very happy with this purchase &' definitely would recommend buying!

The text and font is a little blurry or smudged if you look too closely. Otherwise good binding and lovely series.
