The W5521 chair is a life changer. This chair is incredibly durable, and I can say without hesitation, that this chair will last for years, if not decades! It's very well made, and does not in the least bit come across as flimsy or cheap. If anything it feels and operates like an expensive, high end electronic chair. I fully expect my mother will be stopped and asked about this chair anytime she uses it in public. And with that being said, it does fold down, to allow for easy transportation. I have no concerns with the ability to fold the chair down, and place it in my trunk for transportation. I am not certain that I can pick the chair up and lift it into my trunk, however, I think most average size men could do so without any hesitation. I would say that most individuals that use the chair, would need someone to help transport the chair, unless one had a modified vehicle that allows the chair to drive into the vehicle, and if that's the case you're golden with this chair!Do not overthink the setup for this chair, there is basically no setup involved, it comes well packaged, and delivered to your door. One person can easily slide the chair out of the box onto the floor, just make sure you slide it out with the wheels down (not up), so you can simply lift the chair into it's upright position.Once the chair is upright, slide the levers on each back tire into "Electric" mode, and plug the charger into the joystick, and charge for 6-8 hours for your first full charge, and then charge as you need to from then on out.Some customers mentioned a beeping noise while in reverse, however, this model does not beep - thank goodness! It is whisper quiet whether you're moving forward or reverse.The ride is extremely smooth, and the chair is whisper quiet while in use. The lowest speed is plenty fast enough for normal everyday use, and the fastest speed is very fast. I would think you would only use that speed for outdoors, when you're maybe traveling down a street or on a sidewalk. I say this because the speed options are very impressive! Maneuverability is impressive with this chair, and I can see where this chair will be used a lot for outings outside of the house, but it will also be used quite frequently in the home as well.All in all, if you're on the fence about buying this chair, just buy it! You will not be disappointed! This chair is going to give my family member the freedom they need to live their life comfortably while feeling with neuromuscular issues that affects their walking. I just couldn't be more happy than I am right now with the W5521 chair!

I’ll purchased this in February 2024 after many spinal fusions hip replacement. I have more metal inside me than probably the chair does but I will tell you this is the most liberating chair I have ever sat in. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s too heavy for my sister, and it requires someone of a more upper body strength to move it from one place to another. But we took it to Vegas and it was life-changing and definitely gets a few looks and starts a few conversations. I’ve had it now for a year almost and cannot imagine being without it , there are a few things that I would change about it like the seat cushion could be a lot more comfortable, the joystick controller has to be removed when you fold it up and then put back in and overtime. It gets loose and it can become caught in loose clothing and move when you’re not prepared for it to , the other thing is the armchair pads overtime will crack and I can’t find a replacement for them so I just keep repairing them. Overall, I will tell you that if it comes, I will buy another. Everything can be improved, but I can’t be happier than I am with my little bumblebee . Oh, and there is basically no assembly required. If you can get it out of the box unfold it and put a few pieces in the right hole you’ve got it made. Thank you for making a better wheelchair and I wish Medicare would sit up and look and give freedom outside the home as much apart of quality life as inside the home.

Received a damaged chair. Took chair out of box. The manual provided was not helpful and did not tell you where to charge it, on the battery or the joy stick. Watched a dozen videos on the web saying you plug into joystick while off. The manual could not simply say this. Came across a video where they say the battery has to be on the rail and tightly snapped into place. Thought I would check and good thing I did as the battery was not even on the rail. It was moved to the side and had smashed the pins it was supposed to go into. There is no way the battery is going to budge from where it ended up. This was a gift and was too late to replace. Talked to amazon and they said another chair would have to be repurchased as they could not simply replace. So would have to wait for refund and then re-order and take the chance of receiving another damaged chair. Manufacturer should have inspected product before boxing or packaging.
