I bought this for chips and salsa at work and I love it. I had just enough chips to salsa ratio. The Salsa never leaked, neither lids were hard to twist. Well made.

Cute, lightweight but maybe too big for a single kid
It was a little dusty when it arrived, so I'd recommend washing the entire thing. Please be careful when opening this. If you put a dip or salsa on the small upper compartment, turn the unit upside down (large compartment up top) andthen open. If you open from the wrong side of the middle section stuff could fall out all over you. Sooo I think it would be great for a coordinated adult to utilize but I wouldn't hand it to a kid under 12. :) I like the shape but not sure if it's truly practical. I can see myself totally forgetting what I put up top and opening it up and having everything get all over me LOL 16 oz is quite big for the bottom part, so I would use it maybe for holding a lot of dry snacks, say on a hike and maybe putting a napkin or wipes on the top section (or something small I don't want to lose like a key).
