This is the third thread burner I've gotten in a week because the first two were terrible. And now I wish I'd started with this one. Comes ready to use straight out of the box. It heats up quickly and gets hot enough for the wire at the tip to glow if you hold the button long enough. For my purposes, i don't need it to get that hot, but I'm glad it can. One of the common complaints I've seen about the other two (non-rechargeable) thread burners I tried was short battery life. I've had this one for 5 days and used it exclusively and haven't had to charge it yet. I don't know how that compares to other rechargeable thread burners but it seems pretty good to me.The only con I can think of for this product is the cap was a little difficult to get off. But you just have to pull a bit harder. (Funny story: when I first opened the box, I didn't realize the cap was on. I thought they sent me a thread burner without a tip. Thankfully that was not the case.)Overall: I love this thing. It works better than scissors for fireline and similar threads. So this would be a great addition for a beading tool kit or a tackle box.

This is a great product. I haven’t used it a lot but it does work great! Good value for the money. No installation required just plug in and use. All in all I’d always come back to this if I ever needed a replacement. I love the fact that it is rechargeable and this particular one you can replace just the tips.

Love! This thread burner is great for my jewelry projects. Warms up quickly and is lightweight. I also love that it’s rechargeable. I would have loved if it came with a replacement tip but the tip seems to be of good quality.

I love my new thread burner. I had one before, but the handle was much fatter, making it a bit awkward. I love this new slender design so much better. It fits in my crochet bin, it's easy to carry, and has an interchangeable burner tip.

The unit came without a burner tip. I purchased the 2 replacement tips because I didn’t want to have to wait for complaint to materialize. I hope nobody else has this problem.

It works great. Gets hot immediately. Almost perfect. I just wish it had an on/off switch. Any slight pressure will turn it on.

*updated review*After returning my defective item the company reached out to me and sent me a replacement that works. I really appreciate them correcting the issue. Happy customer!Worked amazing for a month. I used it pretty heavily during that time and was so happy with it until it just stopped taking a charge. I’d plug it in and then the light on back would show charging is complete. Then I would try to use it and would work for a second then blue light would flash like the battery was dead. I literally had one day left in my return window to send it back, thank god. But this thing seems to have a record of stopping taking charges after 30 days as other reviews state. Manufacturer needs to fix this issue!!
