This timer and mat are an excellent choice for speedcubers. It is great to know how fast I am able to solve a cube and prepare for competition.

This is a great timer that works for timing rubiks cube solves or other similar activities. It can store times which is useful. Note that the way these kinds of timers work is that you have to touch the pads with both hands to start/stop it. Also note you do need a screwdriver to install the batteries. Personally I didn't need the included foam mat, but it's totally optional if you use that and/or attach it to the timer. This is a very good value for a professional cubing timer that I would recommend.

This was easy to set up and use. My 9 year old knew exactly what to do without any instructions. It works efficiently and they use it for solving puzzles and other fun, timed games.

My nephew has recently gotten into solving Rubric's cube puzzles, and seeing how fast he can get it done. He's even got a special cube that is easier to turn, etc. Now, he's been using his phone to time himself, but that't not exactly the best way to do it, nor is it the way the official competitions do it. That's where this mat comes into play. Now, he is doing it the way his heroes are doing it on the YouTube, and he loves it. Every half an hour or so, we get a a giddy update on how his best time keeps getting better! If you've got someone who is a Rubric's cube fanatic, this is the mat to get!

This timer is good for stacks and cube. It is very smooth and I like the quality. Easy to put on the battery, just needs 2 AAA and it works, secured by a screw. The buttons are easy to navigate. It has button to save your time as well. Well made, and having the mat is great add on. It also has the plug and data cable for display like the one you see in the professional in case you want to connect it. Other than that. its highly recommended.

I started cubing about a year ago and have recently started timing myself. I was using an app for my phone but found it cumbersome to use. This timer is similar to the ones that I see being used in professional tournaments and I can see why they use them. Its so much faster and more accurate and really helps you hone your reflexes and skills. The mat is nice and large, rolls up easy, and makes for a nice experience while practicing my cubing. If you're wanting a nice kit to improve your times this is a great option.
