Vectra B Bush Removal Tool
Excellent tool at a good price, works very well as long as you take the time to read the instructions on which parts to use for removal and installation, study the pictures carefully and think about how the bush will be removed or installed. If you assemble the tool incorrectly with the long threaded part of the bar facing the wrong way then removal or installation of the bushes is nearly impossible and you will end up stripping the threads on the bar. Used correctly though and with plenty of WD40 on the bushes all four on my 14 yr old Vectra came out surprisingly easily and went back in just as well. The top bushes are simple enough to do but for the lower ones an additional M12 Nut is required to act as a lock nut when you come to dismantle the tool. This is because the nut on the smooth end of the bar becomes very tight during use and won't come off unless you clamp the other end of the bar. Locking the two nuts together provides the clamp. Also dismantling the tool in position is required for the lower bushes during installation because of the position of the shock absorber. Inclusion of this nut in the box would have gained it 5 stars so get one before you start and the job is so easy you'll wonder why you ever paid someone else to do your bushes. I did all four in about 2 hours for about £80 (Tool, bushes and the lock nut) compare that to £160 just for two bushes the last time they failed on MOT.I also have the tool ready if they go again which is likely as Vectras seems to chew them up every few years.

Worked perfectly, great tool
No problems at all, I replaced 4 bushes on my 15 y.o. Vectra B within 3 hours. Just follow the instrucitons and use grease on the thread and between the components of the tool.
