Bears are so Amazing!
FINAL DECISION: I absolutely adored this book. The StoneWater bears have been a highlight in the Trinity series and this book is no exception.THE STORY: Theodora Marshall is an unremarkable low-gradient Psy, often disregarded by everyone except her fiercely powerful twin brother, Pax. But in their venomous family, Pax's trust in her is unwavering, making Theo the sole person he confides in. The only person Pax entirely trusts, he sends Theo to investigate a hidden chapter of their family's history—an unregistered rehabilitation center initiated by their grandfather. These Centers, remnants of the Psy silent past, are infamous for inflicting unimaginable pain, psychically erasing the minds of their unfortunate victims, rendering them empty shells. As Theo delves into the truth, she finds herself accompanied by Yakov, the right-hand man in the StoneWater clan. A scowling bear of a man who bears a lineage of foreseers, Yakov is skeptical of Theo, and the fact that he has dreamed of her since he was sixteen is both attractive and dangerous for Yakov. In Yakov's visions, he witnesses Theo's fate—a chilling and relentless surge of blood that seemingly cannot be stopped. Despite the grim foreboding, Theo presses on, determined to reveal the unsettling secrets of the Center and confront the terrifying legacy of her family's past.OPINION: I loved this book and its characters. The StoneWater bears have been a highlight in the Trinity series, and this book is no exception. Readers are treated in this book to two romances. Not only do we get Yakov and Theo, but the book continues the Trinity romance between Arwen and Pavel. As both Thea and Takov are twins, I very much enjoyed how both sets of twins are central to this story. No one does family and community like Singh. The characters are always in relation to others -- not only the romance but friends and family. These connections always give Singh's stories depth and interest. These are not autonomous people who can do whatever they want. Like all of us, they have constraints upon them if they want to live in relation to others. This series has plenty of Changeling-Psy pairings, but it is the individuals that make each one unique. I loved Thea and Yakov. Yakov is a strong bear, but also an incredibly caring bear. His connection with Thea is deep, which is important because of her history. The Psy-Changeling series always messages that people are complex and complicated. No characters are easy stereotypes.Thea is a woman haunted by a past that she only knows in the shadows. Damaged because of treatment by her father, Thea struggles with guilt and anger. In contrast to the era of Silence, Singh's world values characters with all their flaws and limitations. Sometimes in series with characters with amazing powers, value is placed merely upon those with power and uniquely valuable attributes. Singh's characters are often flawed and damaged by their pasts. And yet -- or because of this -- the characters are valued by those in the community.I always am comforted by Singh's world because there is an underlying decency and goodness where these characters dwell. Love is valued, relationship is valued, and both community and individuality are valued. The romance here is sexy, but also just feels like a warm hug. Thea needs warmth and caring, and that is what Yakov provides. Definitely strong, but incredibly decent and a man that one just wants to cuddle up with. The overarching story of Trinity is not advanced much here. There is a sense that some of the major players (perhaps Pax Marshall, who is Thea's brother) need to move into position for the next act in the story. I'm not sure how long the Trinity movement of the Psy-Changeling series will last, but clearly, something major will be coming soon.WORTH MENTIONING: Kaleb. That's all.CONNECTED BOOKS: RESONANCE SURGE is the seventh book in the Psy-Changeling Trilogy series. The book is also the twenty-second in the Psy-Changeling series. This book should be read as a part of the series. While I recommend starting from the beginning, a reader can start with the first book in the Psy-Changeling Trilogy series.STAR RATING: I give this book 5 stars.NOTE: I received an eARC of this book via Netgalley to prepare a review. I was not required to write a review or to write a positive review. All opinions contained herein are my own.

"I think you're mine, Theo Marshall. And I don't let people hurt those who are mine..."
4.5 -⭐⭐⭐⭐💫"I think you're mine, Theo Marshall. And I don't let people hurt those who are mine. You can't hurt yourself, either...You might as well get used to it."Resonance Surge is the seventh novel in the Adult Sci-Fi Romance series, Psy-Changeling Trinity, which is the spin off series of Psy-Changeling after Silence has officially fallen...but with it new problems arise. In this novel we primarily follow Yakov and Theodora, a bear shifter and a low gradient Psy who are brought together by fate and tasked with investigating a secret facility that has been receiving payments by Theodora's family's company...an unregistered research facility built by her cruel (and now deceased) grandfather. Entering this seemingly empty place brings back memories Theodora never knew she had but even more so, deadly circumstances happening in the city seem to to tied to it and Yakov's foresight warns him blood will fall and the woman of his dreams will die.As someone who adores all things Nalini Singh, this book is another example of why I love her writing. Theodora is a strong character who, despite being faced with life changing revelations, is desperately pushing forward to find answers. She isn't willing to hide and I loved this bravery and acceptance in her.Yakov is the kind of male character I absolutely adore. He isn't afraid to be honest and share his emotions but neither is he walking over everyone. He balances the power of his strength and reputation with respect. He has dreamed of Theodora all his life and knows what she is him but the way in which he gave her the chance to get to know him was a delight. We also get some smaller POVs that added to the romance and tension of the book from Yakov's twin brother and his shifter as well as a mysterious POV and Theodora's brother. I think these did an excellent job opening up the world building a bit more and keeping us on our toes. It also allowed for previous characters to enter the light which I enjoyed for the nostalgia. This book does contain spice - I would place it at 2 spicy peppers out of 5 spicy peppers. This is a slow burn romance but there is plenty of good steam leading up to things. We also have Yakov's brother's relationship which adds additional spice. I enjoy how romantic Nalini's spice is and the way in which the feelings of the characters are built up so well to the end."If you think I'm not cuddling you every night forever, we're going to have a problem...Because you and me, Theo? We're locked in stone now."In terms of world building and plot, it is essential you have cliff notes on the previous books to understand the overarching world building. The world building relies on 22 books leading to this moment. We don't really progress anywhere in the larger world but towards the end something does spark. Instead, we are mainly focused on the relationship of the two characters and an investigative mystery. I enjoyed this but admittedly I did get lost with the story when it started drawing attention to thinks like scarabs and such. It took me a bit to piece together the information I was missing. Also, don't ignore the chapter heading snippets as they provide a lot of fun build up for the world of these characters specifically. The ending has a sweet finish from Yakov and Theodora but things are far from over in this world. If you have been following this series, you will get the same level of enjoyment as the previous ones. The overarching world and story is lighter here but the romance was absolutely perfect for me. I had such fun and am no eager for the next book, as always when I finish a Nalini Singh book.

Bear changeling are the best!!
Resonance is the 7th installment in the Trinity series but is the 22nd installment in the Psy Changeling world. It is a big universe that I love so much. After so many books in the series, you could think there is nothing else to tell about, but Nalini surprise us with Resonance Surge. Over the series, we learned about the presence of rehab centers for defective say except we never go deeper until this novel. It makes me think that the darkest stories are worth telling and it was really interesting to read. The plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. I think it is one of her best writings.BEARS are back!!!! They are so funny. Bear knows how to charm like Nalini Singh wrote they are sneaky in a wholly bearish way. Once you start reading about Nalini’s bear shifters, you will want more of them. The acknowledgment is even influenced by them with a bear joke. 😂 Theo is fierce, and I loved her resistance. Your heart will bleed for what she went throw with her family and for her connection to her twin. Yakov is a dominant changeling, but he doesn’t try to submit or make Theo less than she is. The romance between them is slow, but introduces a captivating development of emotion and vulnerable moments relatable. In the book, I also loved we had an extern vision of the main duo with Yakov’s twin, Pavel and his lover, Arwen Marchan. It gives another perspective. Their couple is cute x 1000. It lights the story. The twin really has two different couple dynamics. The last thing, I want to mention is the short letters we get to read from the twin changeling’s grandfather who was psy. It will change your point of view on the protocol Silence. It's hard to change my mind and this really surprised me.In this book, you will find:⚣MM relation (Side characters)🪢Forced Proximity🐻Bear changeling🐺Urban Fantasy💜Independ FMC🖐️Multiple POVs👪Found Family🔥Slow burn

You just have to love them Bears.
Theo is a twin, a mirror twin, meaning there is an unbreakable bond between her and her brother, he is Pax Marshall one of the most dangerous pay on the planet. But, Theo is different, where Pax is a 9 on the gradient she is only a mere 2.7 and anything below 2 is considered useless. So, Theo has spent her life knowing the only reason she has been kept alive is because Pax would not survive her death. The twins were separated at the age of seven, even blocked from communicating on the psychic net. Her grandfather had control of her upbringing and he was extremely abusive leaving Theo with physical and mental scars, she was also made to carry out tasks for her grandfather which have left her hating herself and what she did to survive. Yakov Stepyrev is also a twin, his brother is Pavel and his lover is Arden Mercant. Yakov has a touch of foresight from his great grandfather (who was an F psy) and he has been having visions of Theo since he was sixteen and has always known she is his mate. But lately the visions have changed and now every night he sees her die, her blood everywhere. When Theo arrives in Russia to look into a centre used to house reconditioned (brainwashed) psy Yakov is assigned to accompany her. He is at once elated and at the same time terrified as it means his vision is coming close to happening, but Theo is just revelling in the not that can be found in the company of a bear shifter, the most playful, living and loyal of the shifters.......Theo is falling and falling hard and she doesn't care.

❤ Another Lovely Addition To Psy Changeling Series
Loved it! With Nalini Singh's books it's never just one story. I would have liked there to be little more chase and bit more tension between the two before they got together, but this played out well.
