Leg Avenue Mens Licensed Top Gun Flight Suit Costume

I was so surprised by this costume. It was material that washed well and really held up. I ironed on some additional patches (you can see in the picture the iron on patches are below the Velcro on the left as you look at the picture) and that went well. They do run on the bigger side. The sleeves are a little long and the Velcro to tighten the bottom of the sleeve is not tight enough. I’m a little extra and brought it to a seamstress to get extra Velcro put on to hold them in place. She was also able to alter the length as they’re very long in length. They are very side in the legs just FYI. They have lots of useable pockets which was nice! I was able to carry my cell phone and some other stuff in them. All in all super happy with our purchase!

Thanks to the reviews - a tad high in the crotch area. 6'3 220 (athletic broad chest) and it fits like a jumpsuit should except the material is not great quality - not horrible but don't expect to work on your car after the party is over, one grab and you WILL have a major rip. And for us taller guys sitting may be an issue in the junk area (assuming you have junk) Just say NO to MAN TOE. lol. I need to leave the zipper in the chest area lower as well to accommodate me, but it looks pretty good. The arms in the Bicep are snug but not crazy binding (it's doable) and one can roll up the sleeves as well and secure them with the attached Velcro straps. T-shirt and boxer briefs or spandex under will make this more conformable for the taller dudes. All in all not a bad purchase :)

After reading many of the reviews on this costume I decided to go with the medium/large size. As with many others when putting this on, it does fit a bit tight in the crotch, but this can be fixed a bit once fully on by pulling down on the suit a bit. I'm 5' 11" 205lbs and with a 44" chest, 32" inseam and 36" waist. To me, it fit pretty darn perfect, though you may need a hand in getting out of it, as it is a bit snug and form fitting! I can tell you that the women at our Halloween party really loved the effect. You can't pull this costume off with a beer gut, so spare yourself and go another route. Costume is fairly well made as others have also noted. I took off a star as others have pointed out that this were NO aviator sun glasses included with costume. Apparently this costume once included a pair, but alas no longer! Online wording saying 2 Piece needs to be changed, as it's only one piece, just the suit itself is in the package. Included are two velcro attached separate name patches. One for Maverick and the other for Goose. Honestly, I don't know who the heck would want to be the guy who ends up dead from a broken neck. The other name tag should be for Iceman. I ended up making my own Iceman name tag from the Goose one which I would never have used anyway. I blacked out the red lettering and then stick-on letters I bought at a hobby shop. It came out great. All other patches are well sewn on. Not certain what costume others are talking about saying they weren't properly attached as mine couldn't have been put on any better. Price on Amazon is much better than you'd pay at Party City as well.

I'm 6'1, 207 lbs, muscular, and the M/L fits like a charm, perhaps ever so slightly a little snug with clothes underneath (jeans etc), but not an issue really. My build is always a problem clothes-wise anyway. I must say I'm impressed with the quality, I didn't expect it to be so "solid" and to be quite honest, "real". The suit looks great, came with two patches (Goose and Maverick - would've preferred IceMan but it's still more than I expected!) and sunglasses that even say "Top Gun" on them. At first I was a little skeptical as it came in a typical "hanging on a rack" pouch, but once out all doubts vaporized. Had no issues with bent sunglasses or loose threads or patches, but I can see how the packaging of the sunglasses might cause issues. Lose patches would be easy to fix. All in all, it's really great. Spike your hair up, throw on some dog-tags and black boots and you're ready to fly away!

This is possibly the best costume I've ever purchased. Most costumes are single-use quality, but the quality of this is fantastic. The detail & patches are authentic and I also bought the Pete Mitchell/Maverick dog tags to go with my costume. I threw on my aviators and went to an 80's themes birthday party where there was Marty McFly, Andre Agassi, Axl Rose, and dozens of other stars of the 80's....and I won the costume contest with this! I hung it in the closet and will definitely be using it again in the future. This is the only costume I have ever fully recommended, which says a lot because I'm picky about quality and being a Top Gun fan, I'm a stickler for details...and this was worth the $$! I'm 6ft, 224lbs and the Medium/Large fit well...especially the arm & leg lengths. The crotch area was a bit snug and bending over/sitting down wasn't really possible, but it was never really "uncomfortable".

I bought this for a Halloween outfit, so I am not expecting much out of it. It's obviously cheaply-made, super thin material, wrinkly (you'll have to give it a quick ironing) and various threads that are loose all over the jumpsuit, but for the price it's fine. I'm 5'11" and 215 pounds, on the muscular side, and once this is on it fits okay. It's definitely real tight right around the crotch, but after some adjusting it was okay. It's not super easy to move around it but I also think buying an XL would have been huge -- it fit fine in chest and the legs were long enough. Only 3 stars since it's just okay, but I also wouldn't say you *shouldn't* get it. It's an easy and fairly cheap Halloween costume and doesn't look too bad.

I have been a big fan of Top Gun for some time. This year, I wanted to wear this costume with my friend for several numerous Halloween parties. I am about 195 lbs and 6'1" with wide shoulders. I got the M/L size and I found that it fit me well. There was extra material on the legs that I folded up, so a taller person could easily use the costume. My friend is 6'2" and skinnier at about 170 lbs. He has narrower shoulders and the S/M fit him fine. The leg length was more appropriate on him that it was on me. The actual suits were of very high quality. The included aviator glasses had small Top Gun logos and good enough for a halloween party. I saw several other flight suits and the Leg Avenue suit was by far the best quality. The exchangeable Goose/Maverick patches really made the costume better. I would recommend these suits if you can pick the right size the first time.

I purchased this for a corporate event and the suit was great fun - a standout for a humble jumpsuit ! A simple piece with maximum impact indeed (the military tags to complete the look was purchased separately) Positives ~ Being a 6 footer weighing 185 lbs, the M/L sized suit fitted me well overall. I prefer a more comfort fitted (as compared to body hugging) piece and this suit was it ~ The suit pants went past my ankles and was long enough to fold over my boots nicely. IMO, the suit length on the model in the picture would be better with a few more inches lengthwise. ~ The inbuilt velcro belt was really useful in giving the wearer a neat v-shaped torso look which increases the macho look ~ The material was reasonably robust (though a bit crease prone) and the detailing of the suit added to the authentic look ~ It came with the aviator glasses which was key to the overall look Improvement areas ~ The aviator sunglasses was squashed & warped - I had to bend it back to shape carefully without popping the lenses ~ The suit had quite a bit of excess thread here and there and it had to be trimmed before wear ~ One badge was peeling off the suit, another came off easily when I checked it, they had to be re-ironed on before wear ~ The dark red font on the black background of the Maverick / Goose interchangeable tags made for tough reading I eventually sold this to a costume shop at no loss and even received a comment from the proprietor noting the quality is good and should be able to handle many washes. Absolutely brilliant flight suit. I'm 6ft 3 and went for XL and it fits perfectly. Very good quality as youd expect for the price. I had to buy the helmet separately but was worth the extra money.

For the cost of this suit it should not be missing Velcro strip for fighting for comfort, very disappointed with this as the cost is very high should be high quality

I use it for work and it's was marvelous
