ULANZI Camera Cooling Fan w Spring Telescopic Mount Intelligent Real-Time

Works great with my Sony zv e1. Worked great. Filmed last night for 2 hours and I never got the dreaded overheating sign. I normally get it around 80-90 minutes. This fan has 2 settings, I used the lowest one and it was silent. The highest one makes slightly more noise but I don’t think it would be picked up when filming if you have an external mic. I have a Sony zv e1.

Got the job done. Bought specifically to use on my Canon R6 mki because it overheats In extended 4k use. Did a test in a hot garage and it kept the camera for more than I needed it to last, which is about 45 to 50 minutes for long wedding ceremonies. Did test it in a Catholic Church for a Catholic wedding which is usually really long and it held up. The ultimate test will be outdoors in the summer either, Texas or Florida to see how well it holds up. Fits the back of the camera really easily, can be used plugged in or with the built in batteries charged. Batteries aren't removable. Its also a 1 button operation press n hold to turn on single press ro change the speed. The fan has 2 speeds. So far so good.

Now it runs as long as I need. Highly recommend for anyone doing extended video recording. Would I recommend? Yes, 5 stars.

Inferior to the first revision, but still mostly gets the job done. I can't speak to actual cooling capacity, but it tames my R10 and R50 ok. I do have some concerns with the mounting system. The previous suction cups work far better than the spring bar friction fit. Repairability could also use some work. You aren't getting in this thing without bending the metal spring bar. Fortunately it was easy to remove the plate off a previous broken fan I have and the suction cup rev was a simple drop in. Just a shame they don't seem to make that version any more.

Cools my camera just enough for 4k 60p without making too much noise. I have tried similar devices with Peltier semiconductor that can cool faster but make more noise and consume more power.

I bought one of these a while ago for my canon R6 which often overheats and shuts down while recording 4k videos. I have a camera timer that automatically stops and restarts at the 30 minute mark so I can record longer presentations with just a few seconds gap in the middle. But often using that, the camera would still shut down a little way into the second video from overheating. I added one of these ulanzi fans and the camera now can run continuously for a couple of hours without overheating whatsoever. I've never had to use the fan on the number two setting, and it keeps the camera pretty cool. It's also very quiet on the first setting and doesn't interfere with shotgun mics mounted on the camera. I haven't tried it with the built-in camera microphones. I think that might be an issue though. But with an add-on shotgun it is not a problem . A little pricey for what it is, but for me it is well worth it. I also bought a second one for my other camera as added insurance, even though that one doesn't overheat. Highly recommend this to anyone who has issues with their camera overheating.

To begin: Start by recording on airplane mode!!! Turning off network features, Bluetooth, etc will drastically improve thermals. This thing works insanely well. I can record a much longer time than I ever could on my A7IV. Heat dissipation is great. Plugging this in will provide it a bit more juice and help it run longer... Obviously. My only gripe, as well as other people's, was how it falls out of the camera. You can find cheap rubber stickers on Amazon to put on the ends of this to add friction and prevent it from sliding around. This is a cheap game changer for me which keeps this device stable. There is some fan noise that will get picked up by the internal mics, but if you're using external, no problems. This thing is versatile, plenty adjustable, and I can easily recommend it to anyone needing an improvement to the thermals on their camera.

I don't know who writes the reviews about this fan not fitting or falling out, they either do something wrong or buy it for wrong camera. Works great for my sony zv-e10 II. Fits very snug. Love the fact that it actually has a built-in battery, so I don't have to run extra wires to the camera. Has 2 modes and the fastest one does not make that much noise (as some people say) + if you use external mic - you're golden. Without dummy battery method it can last for me for about 1.5-2 hours 4k in medium heat environment (hot summer), which is way better than 15-30 minutes before it overheats without it.

Durante un buen tiempo fue la mejor amiga de mi A7IV, porque esta camara tenia serios problemas de calentamiento cuando grababas 4K en Slog3, Después me cambie a la FX30 y adiós ventilador ulanzi. Tengo un amigo que tenia la misma cámara que yo y después de que me lo vio, el también se compro el suyo, solo que el resorte se salió y ya no lo pudo utilizar, desconozco si fue por un mal uso o si de plano tuvo mala suerte con su ventilador, el punto es que se compro la segunda generación de este modelo y santo remedio. No recuerdo exactamente cuando le dura la batería, pero si recuerdo que en un evento completo como boda o XV, la tenias que recargar al menos una vez. Así que cuando no habia tiempo de conectarla a la corriente eléctrica, pues tenias que traer un bateria externa conectada al ventilador,. Razón por la cual cambie de cámara de la A7IV a la FX30 y me olvide de todos estos temas y me enfoque en lo que realmente importa: Documentar eventos.

I use this on my Sony A7IV. I've had very few overheating problems with my camera because I mainly record 24fps, and use manual focus. However, sometimes during long performances in a warm hall (I record footage of operas and other music performances) I will occasionally get a warning, which is quite alarming. This device is the solution to that problem. It's very small and is easy to pack away. The fan makes a little bit of a noise, so I definitely wouldn't use the built-in mic, but if you use anything external is should be fine. Maybe if you record interviews and need it dead quiet it may be a little but of an issue. In any case, I'm very glad I have this!

It does cool my camera very well

Bought this because my Sony ZV-E10 kept shutting off in the summer. I use it as a webcam primarily so this was frustrating. Tried all the other tricks like the dummy battery, it all helps, but this makes the most difference. Indispensable if you want to use a camera like mine all day in a hot climate.
