Field Artist Masters Series Ultra Compact Watercolor Bijou Box, Complete Set

This is a nice very compact travel tinbox. One design flaw - two big wells are definitely not sufficient for productive work. In the same space four smaller wells would be much more practical. Actually an earlier version this tinbox had four-wells design but for some reason somebody "improved" it. Another remark is that an empty tinbox would be more attractive and less expensive. Anyway every artist has his/her own set of favorite colors and favorite brand, so these eight half-pans included in the set in most cases will be just thrown away.

I have been wanting a bijoux box forever. The box has a page of instructions/description. It is Adorable, small. The velvet Bag is worthless. it was so tight I had a hard time getting it off and I certainly wouldn't put the palette back into it!! use it for something else. Colors are vivid. Wet easily, seem very creamy. Transparent - even the cerulean. Most seem to be staining. Brush is teeny, tinny and seems fine for its size. Swatched the colors- See photo: brand name, type (i.e. 1/2 pan, tube, etc.), color name, black line for transparency, light line for lifting, right side glaze over, left bottom - pigment used to make the color off the packaging. Hope this helps. I'm happy.

The box is great. I was able to fit 14 pans inside. The included paint isn’t very pigmented compared to student grade. Still quite happy w box.

This is by far the best compact water colour set I own to date. It is durable and the metal loop makes it easy to hold with your thumb when painting on the go. I don't understand why people complained about some of the colors showing up broken. Uh, just add WATER and it will dry and seal all the broken pieces together, any artist knows this. They probably never painted in their life and just have it tucked away in their drawer. Best compact set ever! I'll say it again.

Made of heavy metal, well-machined, and a nice, quality travel brush. The travel bag it comes with is too small to actually close with the drawstring but it's the smallest thing! The price beats the other heavy-metal bijou box by Whiskey Painters and has 8 half pans to boot! I'm not sure as to the quality of the paints and I'll probably use my own instead of those, but I doubt they don't live up to the rest of the product.

It's a nice set for traveling the case seems pretty sturdy, but I had issues with the packaging my green is cracked and the sticker wouldn't come off the yellow I had to scrape it off luckily I didn't break the paint. I would have sent it back but I'm leaving on a trip soon and I hope to paint some scenes and I'm just going to make use of it. The only other issues I have are multiples of yellow and red yes they're different hues but I feel like I could have made use of one and just mixing to get different hues, throw a black or grey in, also I thought the middle was a place to put water in but it's not so don't be mistaken like me

I love everything about this palette. It is the perfect size and well made. I wish the included paints were a better quality but then the price would go up.
