Security lights at our front door stopped working, and I was in search of a replacement. What really made me go for these lights is the fact that they come with a remote control, making the setup process so much easier.The overall installation of the lights is straightforward - the package even includes a set of plugs and screws to attach them to the wall. All you need is a drill and a screwdriver to finish the job. The floodlights are mounted on a bracket with a good angle of rotation, allowing you to choose the right angle to point the lights to the ground. The sensor itself can be rotated 360°, adding extra customization to the setup.Wiring is simple, with the brown wire is being used for the live wire, blue for negative, and yellow with a green stripe for the ground. The two-meter cable is sufficient to reach the power source. In case it doesn't reach, I would advise to use a separate cable run from the power source and connect it directly to the lights avoiding any outdoor wire connections.Once the lamp is in place, additional settings can be adjusted, such as brightness, the distance at which motion detection starts, and the duration the lights stay on after motion is detected. With these lights, you don't have to climb up and down the ladder to set them up; you can do it all through the remote control.At 300LM, the brightness is adequate to illuminate our front door area, and the color is a very white close to daylight, providing perfect visibility.Installed for around a month now, these lights have been mounted directly on the wall without any protection from rain or snow. Despite a few rainy days, the lights seem to cope well. I'm sure they will last for a while.

Well outdoor security lights have changed a lot in the last 10 years. Especially since LED lighting came about.Now they have full remote control functionality and a better colour so that things can be seen a lot easier and clearer.The 6500K light is way better than older bulb colour options and this is dimmerable (stepped). Basically shutting down whole or part of the COB (Chip on Board) lighting array from just a press of a button on the remote.Basically all modes can be done via the remote rather than having a single mode manually set on the head unit (old style).The PIR mode can be adjusted for 10 seconds, 1 min or 5 mins.Manual timer for 1 hour or 3 hours or just ON/OFFAdjustable Day/Night LUX sensitivityAll from the remote.The only downside and this is very minor and can easily be worked around is there is no masking of the PIR so it may get false triggers. To work around this one would need to place a small amount of black (ideally) insulation tape over the lens facing the area of the false trigger (none was provided in the box)As for the brightness the 30W is very bright and would do in most cases but as the 50W is also dimmerable you could just get that and turn down the brightness and just use full power as ‘n’ when.Excellent value for money and well made.Installation is so easy and can replace an old style external light in under an hour.Images show how received and what was in the boxNote: The standard sized UK plug/adapter is used as a size reference

I needed to replace a 500 Watts Halogen security light after the bulb blew in the cold weather and I couldn't change it due to the screws rusting.I must say for only 30 Watts of electricity this light is brighter with a cleaner "white" light than the Halogen which costs 17 times as much to run.The remote control programing process also makes it easy to tune the settings to how you want the light to perform without needing a ladder to adjust knobs and guessing what you've done.I need to get another one for the back door now.It's bright enough to read even the small printed manual and cast a shadow on neighbouring buildings that are 50 odd metres away.The kit comes with all the hardware (no tools) to fit and plenty of cable... I didn't measure it but I'd guess we'll over a metre and a half giving you plenty of flexibility on where to install it (my old Halogen one only had about 30cms limiting where I could install it. For now I've had to use a cable tie to tidy the excess flex until I can either cut the cable down or remove the lamp and reposition it)

An excellent product, looks very cool and nice. Cheap and cheerful, strong material, feels and looks much more expensive than it actually is. Strong and sturdy, makes an excellent gift for a loved one. Packed very well, lightweight and very effective. Definitely recommend. Perfect size and shape. Does not stain very easily, easy to put together and easy to clean. Great that it is weatherproof, does not rust easily at all. Very bright and effective.
