I like the guillotine however the measurements are hard to read, needs to have a different color for easy reading.

I almost returned this paper cutter because I couldn't figure out how to lock the blade arm in the closed position. I am planning on having this in my elementary school art room, so the locking feature is a must (even though it will be kept out of the students reach). I know I'm not the only person who couldn't figure it out because I read some other reviews. Well, if you watch the video on the Amazon product page it will show you how to do it. You gently pull the arm outward (away from the paper board) and then push it down and allow it to latch into place against the paper board. Some of you super-smarties probably figured this out on your own... but having directions come with the product (mine didn't come with directions) would really help. Other than that - I really love it. It cuts well. I love the placement of the ruler in the middle of the board as opposed to at the top. It is super light and easy to transport - I can't stand the heavy ones that can't quickly be moved about the room. AND, it does have the safety locking feature after all :)

Works great

Pros: Inexpensive. The platform is metal, not plastic as expected. The blade came with anti-rust oil on it. The platform has a variety of inch, millimeter and standard paper size markings to simplify "position ruler" attachment placement. Somewhat better than scissors for making repetitive, multi-sheet cuts. Cons: Feet are not non-skid. Cutting edge of platform is also dangerously sharp. The hinge had a generous glob of lubricant on it that transferred to the cellophane accessories pouch packed under the platform (and my shirt, hopefully it will wash out). There is no blade lock as described; the accompanying leaflet says as much. If you try to pick it up by the handle, the blade will open. The "Warm Notice" (sic) says, "Although there is no safety lock design, as long as you press the blade onto the board after use, the blade will not bounce up at will." There is no spring mechanism, however, that would cause the blade to move on its own. Conclusion: Does what I need it to do, mostly cut stacks of 6-8 sheets of 24 lb. paper at a time into eight notepad size pieces.

This product claims to be "accurate" but has a design flaw that will keep it from ever being able to cut properly. I've barely used it and it already has a crack on it. I noticed all my paper would either have a bowing like edge or would be off at the end of the paper. With my husband's help we tightened the bolt under the blade which did help with the bowing, but did not fix the problem. I couldn't figure out why I was having so much trouble with this one since the different brand I have at my workplace never had any issues. Upon review I saw the gap between the blade and the stand and realized it was a design flaw, and that it would never be able to cut a straight edge. I wish I had realized it sooner, but hopefully this review and pictures will help others in the future.

This paper cutter is for heavy duty use. It cuts very well. The weight of the cutter is also HEAVY. If you want to use it for cards and want to take it to some one elses house or a craft Event it may not be the one you want. The quality is very good.

I bought this so I could get clean lines when cutting my sublimation transfer paper. For the price this was honestly really great, while it lasted. I had it for roughly a year but only used it a handful of times, then one day I went to use it and the arm broke off entirely. I’d expect something like that if I was using it daily, or more than a handful of times. But it honestly was not used that often and I usually only cut one piece at a time but didn’t cut more than 3-4 pieces of paper at a time. The plastic holding the arm is cheap and just not cut out for the movement. Overall, for the price I can’t complain because before it broke it worked great. But just know that you run the risk of the arm breaking off since the plastic is cheap.

Vu le prix je m'attendais à de la meilleure qualité si j'aurais su à 21e je l'aurais commandé sur temu c'était la même chose. Qualité pas top du tous
