Osprey Transporter 95 Travel Duffel Bag

I'm a duffel convert. This bag is awesome!
I've been using a duffel for carry on for a while now and much prefer it to a wheeled suitcase. I finally got a bigger duffel for checked bag and this has been fantastic. I took it on a 2-week trip traveling around Germany and Italy, with many flights and trains and lots of walking. This bag was SO much better than using a wheeled bag. My wife and I packed all our stuff into this 95L bag then had small daypacks for our carry on. This way I was able to wear the 95L as a backpack and my 35L daypack on my front to get around places like Positano where there are 1000s of stairs and a wheeled bag would be terrible. So, for the application of highly mobile travel, this is an awesome bag. Comfort was quite good! The straps are well padded and I had a lot of weight in this bag but carried it for miles. I've also used it for a camping trip in Moab, UT where it was beating around in the bed of a pickup and was exposed to lots of blowing sand. The bag held up fine and carried all the equipment I needed. Now, about the construction, this thing is quite burly. The exterior coating did get a few scrapes but that's pretty unavoidable and doesn't bother me. No scrapes actually gouged the material to compromise the water resistant coating. About that coating... it did rain heavily a few times while I carried this. The contents stayed dry, even though the zippers aren't waterproof. The layout of the bag I find quite effective. I use packing cubes to organize interior contents, then the one internal mesh pouch is good for smallish loose items (though it fits a lot of stuff). The Exterior zipped pocket is really convenient and was a selling point for me over other similar duffelI love this duffel and it will be my go-to bag for any trip where I need lots of gear or if it's a long trip. For smaller trips, I have the same duffel in 65L :D

Great bag for the price.
This thing is exactly what you can expect from Osprey. Before I bought this bag, I reached out to Osprey. I have their Aether 65 backpack and wanted to be sure it would fit inside this duffel, or if I needed to get the next size up (I think it's the 130). They got back to me within half an hour and confirmed my pack would fit.I had already loaded my pack with all my gear (I was flying out for a backpacking trip) before the bag arrived, and immediately upon arrival I was disheartened to find that no, my loaded backpack wouldn't fit. The whole reason I bought this duffel was so my backpack would be protected through the multiple transfers I had to deal with. Begrudgingly, I unloaded my pack and was pleasantly surprised to discover that I was able to squeeze everything I needed into this bag with room to spare.Since then, this bag has been on five flights, and multiple backcountry excursions hauling rope, ice axes, crampons, and other heavy, sharp, not-kind-to-fabric supplies and it's barely gained some scuff marks along the way. I'm a loyal Osprey customer from here on out!Things to keep in mind are, it's not the easiest thing to load. The sides cave in as you load up. The straps aren't the most comfortable things and it's unfortunate it doesn't have a single shoulder strap option. It's also not the lightest option out there. But really, if you're looking at duffel bags in this price range, you're ruling out the option of ultralight gear.TL:DR; I can't recommend this bag enough. It's durable, large enough for most users, and doesn't get searched like every other black bag that TSA likes to assume has contrabands in.

Hands Down Osprey Is Top Notch Quality!
I bought this size on recommendation from a rep at REI. They didn’t have the product so here I am.Anyway, I have since gotten the 130L. I actually like having both. The bags are so sturdy and I don’t foresee having any issues ever. Well, the chest strap clip broke and it broke rather easily. What I will say is a personal preference. If you need two 95 and 130 are highly recommended by me. As for 95 alone, I have an Osprey Aether 70 XLG. 95L for just that is not even close and I don’t carry a lot. I had to empty the pack to put it in. Wasted space as far as I’m concerned. I had to bend the pack to get it in anyway. Not so much with the 130L plus I’m loading the pack. So now there isn’t just fabric just taking up space.Overall, I am extremely happy with my Osprey products and will continue to purchase Osprey. Thing is, they are so sturdy It will be a long time before that comes around.

Great quality. Kept our stuff dry on the boat.
Osprey packs. Great designs and quality. If this pack isn't the one for you, there are many more to choose from. Weatherproof. Several carry options. This pack has been used and abused and I am really satisfied with its ability to withstand the punishment we have unleashed on the Osprey bags we have.

Great choice for family road trip!
The bag is roomy, durable and flexible. I always overpack, but this bag held 10 day worth of clothing and was flexible and durable enough to be jammed into our very loaded vehicle, along with 5 other bags, beach chairs and umbrellas and a pop up tent for sun shade. I highly recommend it!

Extremy robust but good looking as well.
This is an excellent size for my son who will be studying in Italy.
