I’ve got a Stihl petrol chainsaw and was sceptical about this, but it’s a surprisingly good little chain saw. Lightweight but still feels pretty sturdy.Luckily I already had a good supply of 4 and 5amp batteries and with 3 on rotation I was able to work fairly continuously for a couple of hours.As mentioned in a lot of reviews the chain oil reservoir leaks slightly when the machine is stored but the instructions clearly recommend emptying the oil when not in use.Definitely a good purchase.

Bought this to use in a badly overgrown garden after moving house as already had several of the DeWalt 18V batteries. Haven't had it long but so far I'm very impressed with how effective it is and how long the battery lasts. I don't normally write product reviews but this tool deserved one.

This chain saw has been spot on as I do a lot of fencing I perched a couple of 54v batteries with the saw and it has saved me a lot of time really pleased

Having got rid of my old much used petrol chainsaw and already having several Dewalt XR18V tools this seemed like a no brainer, but was initially put off by many reviews complaining of excessive oil use and leaking. I decided I would buy it anyway as it would only be for occasional garden use. First job was cutting down 2 established trees, having up to 5 - 6 inch trunk, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how well the saw performed, cutting them both down and into smaller sections with ease. I was using it with a fully charged 5 AH battery and it was still showing a full 3 bar charge afterwards! It was also very nice no longer having the noisy 2 stroke petrol annoying the neighbours either! Afterwards I removed the bar side cover, bar and chain and cleaned everything up ready to put away. I was going to empty out the chain oil reservoir (as per instructions) but decided I would leave it in to see how bad the oil leaking issue was going to be. Well so far, 4 days after use, there is not a single drop of oil from it. Maybe I'm just lucky? ... or maybe it was down to the thorough cleanup afterwards ... I don't know, but I would certainly recommend this saw to anyone for light to medium use.

Very handy saw that will tackle reasonably tough gardening jobs. Saws though medium sized tress with little difficulty but the saw blades need sharpening more often than full size chainsaws. However, the portability and ease of use makes up fr that.

Works great for all trimming jobs

I wanted a small chain saw for pruning and lopping and general small odd jobs which did not warrant getting out my larger petrol Husqvarna chain saw. Since I already had DeWalt batteries for other tools it made sense to by the Dewalt saw.Having used the saw for several months now, I'm very pleased by it. It's very easy to use being much lighter than my regular say. One point to note is that you MUST keep an eye on the chain oil level. My petrol saw uses approx 1 tank of oil to about 3/4 tank of petrol, so I regularly fill up the oil. With the Dewalt, being electric, after I'd filled the oil, I forgot about this and only just thought about checking the level when I was thinking how nice it was not to have to mix fuel. Check the oil regularly - good chain saw needs a well lubricated chain. The other thing that I noticed was that the instructions say empty the oil tank before storage. I did not as I couldn't see why (you don't with a regular chain saw) anyhow, few days later I found a small puddle of oil on my work bench under the saw. I now keep the saw on an old tray.Overall if you're looking for a really easy saw to use, then is a good shout. One thing I'd say is that the seller should offer a chain sharpening kit for the saw as an extra - you will need to sharpen it eventually and my Husqvarna files don't fit this chain.A good tool. Recommended.

I took a bit of a punt on this as I was sick of straining to get a two stroke Stihl chainsaw to start and the noise. The very best thing about this was pushing a button and it just starting!It's not industrial grade equipment, maybe has 75% of the punch of my 12" Stihl chainsaw, but plenty for jobbing.I've been running off 3 x 3ah batteries, rotating chargingChains nice and sharp, rail is nice and sturdy, adjustment is easy, easy to clean, the brake is pretty quick and has a nice positive clunk to it, it does chew through chain oil a bit more than the Stihl. I tip the oil out back into the bottle after use and haven't had any leak in storage.Keeping the Stihl as back up, but a very tidy tool the DeWalt.

Il est très approprié pour couper le bois d'arbres humides et fonctionne pendant environ 40 minutes avec une batterie pleine de 5 ampères.

Buena herramienta, eso si, teniendo claro sus limitaciones y el uso que se le debe dar. Lo ideal es adquirir un par de baterías de gran capacidad ( 9 o 12 AH) y un cargador rápido, aunque yo he probado un par de cargadores Dewalt y cualquiera va muy bien. Las baterías de 18 V o 54 V, van perfectas con ella. La cadena hace buenos cortes. La velocidad de la cadena es un poco baja pero se compensa con el alto par de los motores electricos. En general es un producto de buena calidad, con las limitaciones de ser una herramienta a batería y las limitaciones que tiene por el tamaño.

AGGIORNAMENTO : Ho ricevuto il prodotto in sostituzione e ovviamente questo non perde olio. Il prodotto funziona bene, ho tagliato senza fatica un tronco di 20 cm di diametro in svariate parti. La sega è compatta ed ha l'aria di essere robusta e ben fatta, inoltre la comodità del funzionamento a batteria è lampante. Per l'utilizzo da giardino che ne faccio io va più che bene.Ho aspettato tanto per averla e poi il prodotto è difettoso. Inserisco l'olio all'interno del serbatoio, chiudo il tappo correttamente, alzo la motosega e tutto l'olio fuoriesce da quelle asole in basso. Ho chiesto il reso sperando me ne arrivi una funzionante.
