Hello All, this is my review of the Hiqalty Electric Belt Sander, ASIN: B0CR9X1HGP. Purchased price, $53.95. I have been using and collecting knives for many a years. I like to do minor mods to make them more fit my needs. I have a Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter knife that i did not like the look of the blade. It had a slight bulge on the back edge towards the tip that just bugged me. I know many "hunter" type blades have this look. I wanted it to better match the Cold Steel Voyager Large Drop Point Blade look. I also have that knife so i decided to mod my Ultimate Hunter blade to closer match the Voyager blade profile. See photo. Please view the video. I've stiched 3 together so it is a little long, though i know it will show what this mini Hiqalty min belt sander can do when used properly. I've also cut down the pointed tail end of an Ozark Trail 7" folding knife with this mini belt sander. See photos & video. This is a VERY small belt sander. When you know its stregths & limitations, then i really believe that it will work for your small project needs. Will you build furniture with it? Maybe dollhouse furniture. The many included accessories is what made me choose this item. Having a lot of extra sanding belts with various grits was perfect. I have yet to used the grinding/buffer wheel attachments. It's nice to know i have that option one day if needed. The 7 step slide switch speed control is nice touch. Since I'll be mainly using this for knife mods, I'll keep it at the lowest setting to prevent excess heat build up. Just keep it slow and steady and all will be good. The backing plate, behind belt, is adjustable. Sadly there are no instructions included to mention this. As first received, the belt to the back plate had a little space between it. This would not be good since the belt would flex a little before resting on the plate. This would cause a very slight rounding on the surface being worked on. I adjusted the back plate to where it would pass the leading edges of the 2 front guide pulleys ever so slightly. This ensures full belt contact to backing plate. It already worked for me on 2 projects on its day 1 debut. In hopes this review helps you to decide if this tool is right for you. Best wishes, Njoy Life...

Perfect small countertop sander. Very versatile and works great on those little projects.

This little sucker is handy for all kinds of projects! The various discs, belts, and pads make it easy to tackle any number or tasks, woodworking, model building, sharpening, etc. Seems pretty solid built, a little noisy and vibrates a little, but not too extreme.

You will love the layout, just remember this thing is small. The belt sander is why I bought it and it performs great for what I use it for.

Plugged in and the motor is intermittent, it spins a partial revolution then stops then spins another partial revolution and stops. Over and over, I removed the belt to make sure it wasn’t too tight it still did the same things. Plain garbage I wouldn’t even give it a one star.

I knew what I was purchasing and with low expectations in mind already...I was surprisingly wrong this is very nice as starter and just nice to have if you don't have something at all this doesn't replace hand sanding but if it will be a shortcut to the finish but no machine can match hand sanding just wanna put that out there

This sander is small so definately for jewelry or knives maybe. It does have an angle bar on it and comes with many extras.
