Greensand Soil Additive (2 Pounds); Special Container Gardening Additive

This was the most affordable deal I could find for my needs, which is to give it to my hermit crabs a little at a time. It's incredibly beneficial to them. I give them fresh foods every day, but I leave a divided container in their tank at all times, and just top it off. One side is worm castings, the other side is this greensand. And they eat both constantly! No, it's not over the top green. It's a very dark green. But I'm sure they all vary depending on what region they come from. And I would say this one seems to be quite safe. I've been using it for several months and they love it.

I purchased this for my Purple Pincher Hermit crabs and they love it. It’s an every day essential they need that I put with my worm castings and crushed oyster shells. Product looks black but when you look closer it has a greenish tint. Greensand can come in a variety of colors ranging from black, dark brown, light brown and green depending on where it’s collected from. I will purchase again when I run out.

Never heard of this product until I started researching hermit crab dietary needs. Apparently this stuff is high in minerals and is very good for them. This was the best price with free shipping for 5 pounds, plus I looked up the seller and I like what they’re doing as a smaller business. I guess most people use this stuff horticulturally, as fertilizer. I have yet to try that, but my hermit crab gobbles it up, so it’s a thumbs-up from me. Update: I contacted the seller; this product is 100% natural and organic.

Bag was in good shape when received.

I got this for my hermit crabs because they ran out of their green sand. When I opened the bag and it leaked but I poured what I could into a bag along with what was left in the package. It didn't look anything like the green sand I purchased before. It was almost black, not grainy and dusty like dry dirt. My hermit crabs didn't like it either.

My beets weren’t developing bottoms. I used this and now have real beets. Will start seed in it next year

The media could not be loaded.  Would have given 4 stars bc product seems good enough (although sand is much lighter than in the pictures), but the sand somehow has spilled not just into the outer plastic bag that the actual bag of sand was put into but also into the Amazon bag. Not sure why they bothered to even put it in an extra bag if they weren’t going to seal it. It got everywhere when I opened the package, and I know it’s going to get everywhere as soon as I try to open the outer bag
