OEM copy… That’s the problem. It suffers from the poor design of the original it copies. The base snaps into the radiator support of the vehicle, but is sadly a loose fit, just like the original. This loose fit makes it prone to failure, just like the original. I installed my replacements with a just bit of clear JB Weld two part epoxy at the base thus making for a snug fit. Let the epoxy harden before making adjustments & closing the hood. This combined with patience will solve the problem.
