WOODRIVERSnap-Set Miter Gauge Fence Combo with Flip-Stop

Using a mixture of product reviews and the images, I thought that the miter gauge was intended to beused with either "T" track miter slots...or..."Non-T- Track" miter slots. Being able to use with "Non-T-Track"slots would mean the that circular disk shown at the end of the bar in the images would need to beremovable as the disk seems clearly intended for use on a T-track. I found however that this disk waspressed into place and not removable. I had to grind off the sides of the disk to make them in plane withthe rest of the miter bar's horizontal sides. Once that disk was ground in plane, the miter gauge works fine and is of nice quality, but the disk should have either been easily removable, or this feature should have been notedwhich I don't believe it was.

Well constructed, easy to use and sturdy.However, I am only giving it an "okay" rating because of the following.1. The miter bar is too short. For better usability, it really should be about 6" longer. I prefer a 24" bar.2. In my opinion, the fence is too short by about 6" also.3. The scale on the fence is set wrong: if the fence is set in position to match the scale readings, there is zero clearance between the saw blade and the fence. To really do this safely and correctly (to keep the fence away from the blade), I set the fence 1 inch away from the blade, and that makes the scale readings 1 inch off. At least this way the fence and flip stop can be used in a reasonable manner.

I don't see why the fence scale isn't adjustable. Mine is 1/32 off; as close as I can get it to the saw blade where it sings just a little bit.Plus, if you used it with different kerf blades it would also be off.I don't want to cut the fence... but maybe that's the best alternative...Cut 1/4 inch off and then position it so it's 7/32 away from the blade... but it would just be much easier if it had an adjustable scale on the fence.

If you've been wrestling with a "stupid", cheap, wobbly miter gauge, you don't have to any more! It's a little more expensive than the above kinds of miter gauges but those don't really deserve to exist on the face of the earth. Do you like wood working even though you only own economy grade power tools? I get so much more done with more accuracy and way less hair pulling since I treated myself to the WoodRiver Snap-Set Miter Gauge Fence Combo with Flip-Stop and it is way more reasonably priced than the truly expensive competition.

Just need to dial in the width of the miter bar so it is snug (no lateral play) yet still slides smoothly. Otherwise, nice and sturdy tool.

Works like a charm. I don't know how I've done without this for the last 35 years. Easy to adjust and the adjustable stop is wonderful when cutting multiple pieces. Adjustable width to fit snugly in mitre slot. Buy one!

THIS MITER GAUGE MORE THAN MEETS ALL MY NEEDS. IT IS A PLEASURE TO USE.

Sturdy piece of kit that is now an essential tool on my tablesaw.
