It does what it says on the tin.
I bought my first of these in the States from Walmart. It far surpasses chamois leathers for drying off cars as it is more absorbent and doesn't "stick" to paintwork as chamois do. they do not feel "slimy" when wet and they last for years and years.

The Best Ever Drying Towel. Really, it is.
This towel is by far the best towel I have ever used to dry an automobile. It is super absorbent and does not leave streaks. I am a clean car guy and wash my vehicles weekly. This does a great job and is a time saver as well. It holds an incredible amount of water before you need to wring it out. This is a game changer in the auto cleaning world.

Huge size, but rather lightweight
The dimensions of this chamois are huge, and it comes in the biggest “shammy tube” I’ve ever come across. But, it’s a bit of a sham … (ho hum). The thickness of the cloth is disappointingly thin. About half the thickness of a smaller, cheaper (both by 50%) chamois I can buy at my local supermarket. But, here’s the drum: if the big shammy was the same thickness as the smaller one, you’d need a crane to lift it when it was wet.The Absorber does what it says on the tin - it absorbs a *lot* of liquid. It’s really satisfying to use it as a swim towel (as I do), and run it around yourself once, then wring it out & watch *all that water* fall on the ground. If it were a full 2.5-3mm thick, rather than its 1.5-2mm depth, it would be really heavy and unwieldy to handle. So, honestly, I’m not sure it would be improved as a tool by being as thick as smaller cloths. But they don’t need to keep kidding themselves about the size of the tube. It fits - comfortably - in the tube for a smaller chamois. So, either give back the original thickness, or get a smaller tube - the big one is unnecessarily awkward to handle.Gripes aside - the colour is a fabulously bright blue, and it does absorb water the way you’d expect a chamois to.(I now store mine in a smaller tube, and use the big tube to keep my hairbrush & other “crushable” items in my swim bag. Everything has a purpose.)
