Perfect Barbie Alternative
I love these dolls because they are slightly smaller then a Barbie and fit in regular sized dollhouses much better. The dolls are well made and the clothing is wonderful, full of details and is great quality.

Perfect dolls for little girls
I would have given this doll a 5 star because it's adorable and it's truly a child's doll.. no make up, no high heels and no trashy clothing- it's exactly what I wanted for my 4year old and the outfits are adorable . The reason I gave this specific doll a 4 star (ballerina) is because, literally within a couple minutes of the doll being out of the box, the tutu was a bunch of frayed strings. The fabric is an unfinished blunt cut and just shreds apart immediately . I didn't return it because my daughter wanted the ballerina and loves the doll anyway but just be aware the skirt on this one will fray apartUpdate: the company did reach out to me and offered to replace the skirt so Kudos for great customer service!!

A shame they’re so cheaply made
Our granddaughters (2 and 5) both love the Lottie dolls. Unfortunately, the clothes are cheaply made and don’t hold up; they come apart. In addition, the velcro closings are shoddy and so the clothes often come off. It is a shame as these dolls could be so great IF the Lottie Company wasn’t so greedy. The profit has to be huge—why not make better quality clothes and accessories so the dolls are something young girls can play with over time instead of just a couple of weeks before the clothes start falling apart? In addition, very few clothes are sold so to get more clothes you have to buy additional dolls. The company is making a killing and says they care about little girls but not enough to make a quality product.

Dolls are great but clothing is terrible
The dolls are well made and have nice hair that my daughters love to braid and comb. But the clothing is of abysmal quality. The netting on the tutu detached from the skirt after less than a couple of weeks and the velcro on both the skirt and the top seises to work, which causes a lot of frustration in the little ones...Other outfits I purchased separately for the same line of dolls are also terrible and don't last.

Great ballerina doll
My 6 years old daughter loves this Lottie. This is the fist Lottie she got (together with the dog) and different outfits. She told me she likes it more than Barbie because of the way she is made and her soft hair. Plus she likes the different outfit you can have. I read several reviews complaints about the skirt, we haven't had any issue so far (about 4 months playing). My daughter loves dancing and so a Ballerina Lottie was a great gift for her.

Ballet Lottie Doll
Lottie Dolls are smaller than average and are designed to reflect the little girls who play with them; as such they reflect the kind of activities that children like to do – from riding ponies to going to the beach. This Lottie is about to go to ballet class. Lottie has a pretty outfit – including a layered tutu (ours has not frayed so far, but we’ve only had it a couple of weeks), a sparkly leotard, tights, ballet shoes and a little ballet bag.I love the fact that Lottie is age appropriate. I don’t have particularly strong feelings about Barbie, et al, but it is good to see a doll which reflects real life and which is the size, and shape, of a child. Lottie is a little tricky for younger children to dress, due to her smaller size, but she has immense play value and you can buy lots of accessories. It is worth mentioning that her arms and legs move, but they are not jointed. Although this is a ballet Lottie, she cannot point her feet and her movements are limited, but this did not seem to concern my daughter. Also, just be aware that some of the pieces (such as the shoes) are really tiny and easy to lose.

Lottie Doll- Absolutely love it, but choice of some materials could be better.
I bought this recently after much debate after reading some of the reviews. The doll itself is lovely and I'm really pleased with it.But I wanted to write a review regarding the quality of clothes as that was something which kept coming up in reviews and had caused me hesitation when originally buying this doll.On my Spring Celebration Lottie Doll, the stitching is very good quality, but I've found the choice of some of the materials rather poor. The darker purple layer of her dress started to fray straightaway, leaving fine bits of thread hanging, which could cause entanglement in little fingers unless cut away as it frays. A few weeks on and the pink layer is now starting to fray, but nothing like the dark purple skirt. The lighter purple is made of slightly different material and is absolutely fine.Lottie is lovely though, and we are happy to try using a bit of fabric glue at the bottom of the material to lock it in place- the material is a little fine to try and hem with needle and cotton. But if the manufacturer could look into changing some of the materials used- or hem the troublesome ones they are using then the doll would get 5 stars from me.With this said, the product is lovely and it has not put me off wanting a few more, especially the karate Lottie doll and the Pirate one, which we will be purchasing soon. We love the variations in skin and hair colour available (more please Arklu, and some more boy dolls) and the fact Lottie is a child, and isn't afraid to challenge gender stereotypes.
