This has a deep dark, rich color , so much better than cacao bought at the local box store.Great value for such a premium Cacao.

A few years ago, I bought cocoa powder that I thought was going to be dark and rich. I guess it wasn't Dutch processed, but I'm not sure the reason it was so inferior to what I'd expected. I mean cookies, cupcakes, even hot cocoa just never tasted quite right, and I wasn't sure why. I thought maybe I was just a bad cook when it came to anything with cocoa powder in it.I decided to try again, and I'm glad I did. The rich taste and smooth texture of this cocoa is so much better than the product I'd tried before that the chocolate cake I made using this powder makes my previous endeavors taste kind of musty in comparison. Is this the best cocoa powder out there? I have no idea, but it's quite wonderful compared to what I'd tried before.

The first thing you'll notice when you open the bag is how much darker this cocoa powder is compared to regular store brands. The color is a deep, rich, almost blackish/reddish brown. Think of other cocoa powders as "pastels" & this brand as "jewel tone" if that helps.The flavor is fantastic (I use it in my chocolate chia pudding & overnight oats) & it's an awesome value because you get a really big bag that will last you a long time. It's soft & powdery, mixes very well with no clumps (using a blender/bullet) even with cold soymilk.At first I was a little hesitant because of the price point compared to grocery stores but it's definitely worth the upgrade to your pantry if you use cocoa powder a lot like I do. Great value for the money & even though I am a total cheapskate when it comes to stuff like this, I will definitely buy it again when I run out.

I have been using the product for the past couple of years and it's great. I have it set up on subscription and the powder not only has excellent flavor, it also is fresh.But for the second time I received an order with puncture holes in the product bag. There was no damage to the shipping box, so this is happening in the warehouse. Because it is easier for someone to communicate with aliens than to find a place to complain about Amazon shipping methods and practice, I'm left to try to post it here. I apologize for having the the producer take the hit for something that is not their fault.

Very dark and rich

I use this cacao for making chocolate syrup with almond milk and Stevia sweetener. Rich, chocolaty taste. Comes is a resealable paper bag which always seems to leak cocao powder everywhere. I immediately put the bag in a plastic zippered bag to contain the stray powder.Edit: Although the picture of the product is labeled "Cocoa" on the website, the bag that I received is labeled "Cacao", and the ingredients list "cacao". There is a difference in processing and in the taste between cocoa and cacao.

I make almost all our food and this is a big staple in my kitchen. Great for everything from baked goods to chocolate syrup. Works perfectly every time. So happy to find a Dutch Process powder in a size that doesn't have to be replaced every 8 weeks.

I bought this because I bake a lot and the big bag ends up being cheaper than the small can of Hershey from the grocery store. It went on my subscription because it's better!!! This chocolate makes your baked goods taste like chocolate. After using this I now suspect there's a lot of fillers in the other brand where this is just pure delicious chocolaty goodness. 10/10 highly recommend. I've also started buying other things from this company because of the chocolate.
