It's great! I used it with a 256GB SSD for my xbox one, to load and run COD 7 faster.

I have purchased few of this and I have also recommended few of my friends to buy this as this absolutely works well. Easy to slide the SSD in and close it. Anyone can do it and best part is, USB-C and the speed it copies files is amazing. So, surely 5 star.

got this for my old laptops h.d. a 1 tb one , very easy to open pretty much plug and play , did wonder where the cable was but was inside the caddy , shame its only very short about 7 inches but had a spare usb c but they can be got cheap anyway so no big deal, slid the back off , plugged the drive in , plugged into my laptop ( newer one) formatted the 1 tb drive in the caddy as no real data on to save just wanted it empty for future storage space . use disk manager on windows , choose the drive , actions / format and hit enter took a few minutes and now a complete empty re formatted hd , i would recomend a longer usb cable but apart from that its solid , not like a lot of caddys that have flimsey shells and the internals are open and not solid . for the price its a steal . also just dumped some films on and plugged into the usb on tv and no issues at all . , i may need a couple more , so for me a no brainer buy again . as said feels solid and quality and the way plugs in is feeling secure. also comes witth sticky pads to hold the drive in place inside. nice lil touch

Very nice item at a very good price , my ssd memory fitted perfectly, the wire that comes with it on the ssd side is a type C USB to a type A USB there is a little blue light that comes on when you plug it in , the only problem I had was opening the enclosure , so what you need to know , put the enclosure facing up with the C slot facing your body about halfway down put your thumb on the top and your other fingers on the back then push the front cover down away from you , the front cover slides off about an inch from the top , you need to slide the cover off don't press to hard on the body it just slides off , there are instructions but they are inside , yes I know what your thinking

Don't understand the negative reviews, especially about opening it. I have RA in both hands and it simply slides on and off! I have an internal Toshiba SATA that I wanted to use an an external drive and this enclosure did the trick. No fannying about and cable included. Standard USB-C to USB 3.0.

I had a small ssd left over after fitting a larger one on my pc, so I thought I would buy one of these to connect the old ssd to my smart TV to record programmes. It works perfectly. For some reason I was unable to get my pc to recognise my old ssd in this device, so it wouldn't have worked for backups. A laptop did however recognise it, allowing me to reformat the old ssd before using it. So, great for the purpose I wanted it for, disappointing that it wouldn't work with my pc. I tried front and back USB ports on the pc, but the device was not found.

Ho comprato questo case perchè ho dei dischi recuperati da altri PC e dovevo resettare quelli da smaltire (fatelo sempre prima di buttarli) e poi ne volevo recuperare uno in particolare, che é SSD. Proprio per via delle necessità che vi ho descritto l'ho dovuto utilizzare sia con vecchi dischi meccanici da 160GB, con uno più nuovo da 1TB e con un SSD 120GB. Risultato: Ha funzionato sempre al primo colpo con tutti i dischi e non ha mai avuto un'incertezza, sia con Windows che con MacOS. La velocità di trasferimento era il massimo che potevo avere da questi dischi ormai datati, e cioè più o meno 35MB/sec che é una velocità di tutto rispetto. Non sono stato a fare altri test ma per quello che mi serve va benissimo. A questo prezzo direi che la plastica un pochino chip si fa perdonare dall'affidabilità e dalle performance, quindi direi che lo consiglio senza riserve. Spero di essere stato utile, buon acquisto.

C'est le troisième que j'achète , deux pour des disques 2,5 SATA de récupération , et un pour un SSD. Aucun problème , ca marche de suite vite fait bien fait! Le câble est plutôt court et mieux adapté pour un portable , mais franchement , pour le prix , on ne va pas non plus s'en plaindre. Je recommande et j'en re-commanderait au besoin

Ich habe mir dieses Gehäuse für eine alte 2,5" SSD gekauft, die noch rumlag, und bin absolut begeistert. Der Zusammenbau ist wirklich werkzeugfrei – man steckt die Platte einfach rein, drückt sie fest und schiebt den Deckel zu. Das hat keine 10 Sekunden gedauert! Die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit mit USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 ist der Hammer. Ich habe meine Spiele-Bibliothek (ca. 150 GB) in kürzester Zeit von der alten SSD darauf übertragen. Es war deutlich schneller als mit meinem alten Gehäuse. Das UASP-Protokoll scheint hier wirklich einen spürbaren Unterschied zu machen. Was ich auch super finde: Das mitgelieferte Kabel hat sowohl einen USB-C-Anschluss als auch einen USB-A-Anschluss. So kann ich das Gehäuse an meinem modernen Laptop (USB-C) und auch am älteren Desktop-PC (USB-A) nutzen, ohne nach einem Adapter suchen zu müssen. Das Gehäuse selbst fühlt sich wertig an, ist leicht und kompakt. Perfekt, um die SSD als schnellen und mobilen Datenträger zu nutzen. Alles in allem: Top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, funktioniert einwandfrei und ist super unkompliziert. Klare Empfehlung! Vorteile: Blitzschnell: Sehr hohe Übertragungsraten durch USB 3.1 Gen 2 und UASP. Super einfach: Werkzeugfreie Montage – einfach reinstecken und loslegen. Universell: Das beiliegende Kabel mit USB-C und USB-A-Anschluss ist mega praktisch. Robust: Fühlt sich gut verarbeitet und stabil an. Kompatibel: Nimmt sowohl 7mm als auch 9,5mm dicke SSDs und HDDs problemlos auf. Nachteil: Für den absoluten Dauereinsatz 24/7 wäre vielleicht ein Gehäuse mit aktiver Kühlung besser, aber für den normalen Gebrauch ist es perfekt geeignet.

Exactly what I'd expect for the price. Might not be premium quality material but it does the job perfectly. High speed data transfer. Easy to assemble. And thanks to my Amazon delivery driver for coming back later in the day as he couldn't contact me on his first attempt to deliver.
