For some time now I have been using my printer wirelessly. However , I suspect because I don't print very often, when I do want to print I find that the connection between printer and laptop has dropped and I have to attempt a reconnection. Sometimes that works as it should but sometimes I am in for half an hour of frustration as I try to get things working. So I decided to relocate my printer to enable a wired connection. All I needed was a suitable cable.My first impression of this cable was that it seemed a little thin in comparison to how it looked on the listing and compared to a lot of my other cables, especially the braided ones. Having said that I was impressed with the quality of the connecters, they seem very solidly built. I did also like the braid itself, it is a nice tight weave and should do a good job of protecting the wires within. There is also a velcro strap attached to the cable, which is a nice touch, and may come in handy for tidying up surplus length.When I connected printer to PC with the cable, Windows told me that it was installing the necessary files onto my system. This was a very good sign and indeed , after a couple of minutes , that was done and I was able to print a document with no fuss at all. When you are wanting to print you just need things to work seamlessly and I have every confidence that a wired connection is the way to go for ultimate reliability and this cable has shown that it is up to the job.Value wise £7.99 (at time of review) seems just about right. I wouldn't class it as stellar value but neither is it overpriced.

Needed a replacement cable as my Wifi enabled printer decided it didn't want to use wifi anymore, and as usual, couldn't find the cable it came with. So ordered one of these instead.The braiding is nice and soft and the connectors are what appears to be gold plated. Connected the printer to the PC without any issues. So far it seems a pretty solid cable, obviously durability will show itself over time, but I don't anticipating having any issues as these type of connectors are probably one of the most sturdy.
