So easy and actually reasonable. Always available for quick snack or any recipe that calls for some chicken . Add to chicken broth, add noodles and you have a great bowl of chicken soup . Very tasty ! You can’t go wrong !

A 12.5 oz. can of drained Swanson chicken breast, a few large boiled eggs, some mayonnaise, a pop of taste from apple chunks, calorie-free pickles, or green olives, a generous sprinkling of walnuts, and you have a quick, easy, and delicious chicken salad. Of course there are many other ingredients that could be part of a chicken salad ---banana pepper rings (but wear gloves when cutting them), celery, black olives, etc. A cooked chicken from the grocery store might make a tastier salad, but for a quick supper, or for long-term storage for an emergency meal, this canned chicken is as convenient and versatile as having cans of tuna in your pantry; high protein food just waiting to be needed! Three ounces of this drained chicken (breast meat with rib meat packed in water) is 80 calories, 15 grams of protein, 150mg of potassium, 390mg of sodium, and only .5g of saturated fat.I've ordered cans of Swanson chicken breast 8 times from Amazon Prime Pantry during the past 2 years and have never received a dented can. I'm not saying that it couldn't happen, only that it did not happen to me. The cans that I purchased February 2020 have a best by/exp. date of Nov. 14, 2021. Due to long-term storage possibilities, convenience, and the high protein inside, canned chicken is a good product to store in containers with canned tuna, along with other hurricane and camping supplies, as well as on your pantry shelf.

Am always unsure about buying canned meats but I figured this would be a good addition to throw in the pantry.I put both cans in a pasta salad and the quality is surprisingly good. It's not spongy like I'd half-expected and there were large chunks of chicken - so large I had to break them up with a fork to put in the salad. The chicken tasted fresh without any strange flavors imparted from the can.The sodium level is a little high but not outrageously so. I simply didn't add salt to the pasta salad at all and it all balanced out. The price for two fairly substantial cans is more than reasonable. Am going to keep this on hand this summer to put in salads, both pasta and lettuce-based.

This canned chicken surprised me. Canned meat, except for tuna, usually is a big turn off for me and my family but this Swanson chicken is very good. It's a tad salty but it is great in sandwiches and an assortment of recipes. I made chicken noodle casserole (instead of tuna for a change) and the chunks of chicken were large and tasty. For sandwiches, a little mayo is all that is needed or you can dress the chicken up with whatever floats your boat. I eat this on top of salads to give me protein that is low in calorie and so easy to prepare. I bought five cans. I will be buying more, There are many uses for this chicken and the ingredients are good. Nothing nasty or weird in this stuff. Good eating!

I am using this year to see if Amazon Prime membership is financially worthwhile for me. To do that need to do as much shopping as possible on the site. This is the reason for this purchase. Like the convenience and portion size.

This is the brand that I prefer when purchasing canned chicken breast. Since I am single, I prefer to buy my chicken in a form that is 1) not frozen and 2) won't spoil in the frig.I add one or two cans to my crock pot to make soup. It is easy to add to recipes -- already deboned and ready to go.I've purchased this brand for years and trust it for quality.NOTE -- IF YOU RECEIVE DENTED CANS FROM AMAZON PRIME Pantry, just contact Amazon for replacement. It is easy to do and they are so nice and prompt to resolve any shipment issues. I have purchased from Prime Pantry for several years and very rarely have ANY problems, but always they fix it fast when I do!!
