Stellar IEM, definitely punches above its weight. Blind buy certified
First and foremost let me start by saying sound quality is superb for this price point. Treble isnt sharp but still manages to extract great detail. Mids are a bit recessed but nothing to truly complain about, id consider this part a bit recessed Bass section is clean and clear. Lacks a bit of punxh however this is perfect for me as these are geared towards audiophiles like myself. Build Quality is solid! Comfort is good enough for my ears. Must play with plugs to ensure properfitment and sound quality. Design is good Fit is good. The one gripe i have is the cable that come with looks decent (I got the DSP usb type c with mic version which i am truly enjoy for this price) however the ear part doesnt truly flex to stay in place BUT its a small sacrifice that i think anyone should take on these. Mic quality is good, not complaining. Overall I love these , blind buy IMO. You wont be dissapointed.

WOW!!
I own 250$ Kiwi Ears by Linsoul Astral and Astro A50 and I was just curious about this and let me tell you.. they are incredible for their price! Totally Worth every penny! The audio and clear and the bass is good, I play video games where footsteps are important and it really a really good job without me having to use any extra piece of software for audio enhancement.

Spectacular!!
Oh. My. God. Professional musician here, touring as cellist and bassist in almost all written and improvised styles — for me, headphones never felt good, over the ear, in the ear, always that compression, bass turned into something like this pain, I could never listen for very long. Well, that's over. These are a flat response, just like I want it, so I can hear the actual production that came out of the studio, they don't hurt, I can barely feel them in my ears, and I am so excited!! Stunning product!!

Very good earbuds/IEMs
The sound quality is excellent and the equalization/frequency response is such that anything, whether it be classical, acoustic, or EDM, sounds like it "should". The bass is fantastic IF it's a song that actually has a lot of bass (Everything is Here, Nothing is Here by the band "Toe" is a good bass test), yet acoustic songs sound balanced, too. (Neutral Milk Hotel's Engine is a pretty good song to test indie/acoustic.) I bought these after having to return a pair of JBL Endurance Run 2's that sounded like they had a permanent "bass boost" setting applied, making 95% of the music I listen to sound horrible; the CHU 2's sound excellent out of the box on everything, no equalizer software required. As for the negatives, two come to mind: First, since these are new, fancy DSP-hybrid style IEMs that can use a USB port or a regular headphone jack, it would be much better for my own needs if they came with a regular 3.5mm audio plug in addition to the USB-C cable (the cables are detachable). Getting a replacement 3.5mm plug 0.78mm cable is $8-$20 on the low end, or $30-$60 in the midrange. The other issue is that the shell of these buds is made from solid aluminum. This is great for durability, but, when putting them into your ears or adjusting them slightly, a glancing tap of your fingernail against the IEM body makes a deafening sound if they're fully inserted. A thin outer layer of silicone of the same kind that is used for the eartips would be really helpful for this issue. After having these for a few weeks I've gotten pretty good about not doing that, but it's something I've learned after plenty of painful negative reinforcement. The box is nice, and it comes with a soft pouch for the earbuds and tips. It comes with three different sizes of eartips. I tried the moondrop software that is meant to use the DSP functionality and immediately uninstalled it; it's crap. Oh well, I don't need it anyway and I'm very happy with both the sound and construction quality. The inline volume controls works like they should—nothing defective or revolutionary there. The mic works, though I didn't test it enough to comment on the quality; I wouldn't expect much from inline IEM mics.

(Maybe) Disappointed, though slightly amused…
So. These iems have been a rollercoaster. The first set I ordered arrived and had clearly been used. Like still full of someone’s earwax and half the stuff was missing from the box. In Amazon’s defense, they immediately replaced them and very quickly sent me an actually new set. I was very surprised at the sound quality for how cheap they were! Very clear, and the upper end lacked that tinny element you get with some cheaper headphones. There isn’t much in the way of bass but I expected that. With the smaller silicons buds they fit my tiny ears perfectly, which is often my biggest issue with in ear headphones, and are pretty comfortable for a few hours. I bought these mostly as a back up to wear when I want long hours of music without constantly trading out my AirPods or (when I forget to charge them) so I honestly having been using them much. I saw people mention issues with the cord breaking so I was careful to keep them in the case when not in use and not wind them tightly. With all that said, these probably have less than 20 hours of play time on them and when I put them in this evening I discovered there is a near constant crackle and any person singing or speaking sounds like they have been sucking a helium balloon, which while funny as heck is not what I’m looking for in my listening experience long term. Now, I’m not sure if this is an issue with the cord or the iems themselves. I’m leaving a second star in the hopes that if I replace the cord the issue will clear up. Otherwise these are absolutely not worth the money. Edit: the roller coaster continues. I just plugged these in again to show my bf the funny helium thing and now it’s not doing it. Upping to 3 stars while staring at my headphones suspiciously… will update if they stop working again, or if they don’t!

I'll see how they age but first impressions these are great!
Time will tell how reliable they are but first impressions are great. I like the EQ, I like that i don't need a dongle to use it with my phone, I like that I can replace the cord and I like the slightly smaller IEM size. They fit in my ear much more comfortably than some of my other IEMs. They're easy to drive too. The cord does feel a bit cheap, so time will tell on that end. At least it's replaceable.

Garbage. Do not buy
These headphones are garbage. I should have went with my gut feeling when I thought not to buy these. I had a feeling but made an excuse for it. The silicone ear pieces that came with it did not fit at all. It’s physically impossible. They are way too small to slide on the ear buds. I’m looking for binaural beat compatible headphones. These distorted the audio so bad. After a while they broke. The piece that slides into the iPhone stopped working. DO NOT BUY THESE OR CHECK ALL REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING.

Somewhat an upgrade in all but audio from the Chu I
This is the 2nd iteration of the much loved Chu I that I have enjoyed as a great bargain earphone set. There are some nice quality upgrades to the ergonomics such as looping ear cables, better carrying case, and braided cord with removable connection to the earpiece. The USBC connector might be considered an upgrade if your phone/device doesn't have a AUX feature, but otherwise this just means I can't charge and play at the same time now, so I'll call it neutral. The audio itself is not an actual upgrade as any glance at the frequency specs can attest that this version is identical in audio quality the previous version which is quite a disappointment when they spent their efforts in other places that don't matter as much as audio. The price is still great for what you are getting so I will recommend them if the features fit your needs. ----- Update--------- 2 months in and one thr left speaker is noticeably lower volume by default. The cable and connections are fine when swapped into another system, so it's a problem with the internal parts of the left speaker set. Further research shows this to be a recurring problem with the latest moondrops, which is a huge shame as I really liked the product otherwise. The cable and earpiece have held up and I'll keep them regardless for repurposing. Dropping product a couple of stars sadly.

TOP OF THE TOP!
value, sound quality, build quality, tuning, clearity, the fit, is all 10/10, It's the best iem you can buy in this price range, The only things that I don't like about this iem is the dust filter and the cable, the dust filter lasted around 4 months but with the dsp cable I tuned my moondrop chu 2 to be like the default tuning with the dust filter after removing it, and the downside of the cable is the ear hooks is a bit weak and after around 4 months the cable started to suddenly stop working but unplugging and pluggeding the cable again fixes the problem right away and the good the it does not happen frequently, Aside from all of that, the iem it self is 10/10 all you need to know is you need to be extra careful with dust filter and the cable, and soon you will need to replace the cable and the dust filter.

Great performance and lovely cable
I really like these, they are light and comfy, and the sound is great. The mic is also nice, it's a little sensitive and I had some trouble with it in Teams on PC, but get some noise cancellation settings right and it's nice and clear - on iOS the voice isolation works great, in Teams you definitely need to train the model in settings. The cable itself is worth the price to me, happy customer 😊
