I covered the container with plastic wrap and kept it moist. However, keep in mind do not over water. If you over water, the seeds will become moldy. **Q: Where should this be placed in a window with sun or not?** A: After the grass get about two inches heigh I take it from a dark space and place in in my bay window. It gets morning full sun. I check it every couple of days to see if it needs water. Be careful not to overwater because mold will grow in the grass. I hope this works for you. **Q: Which is the pot—the larger container with holes in bottom (vs. smaller container, which I assume is the lid?) No pictures—would’ve been helpful.** A: I bought the kitty pot. Works great. I would think the smaller holes would be for bottom and larger for top. Your grass does grow pretty heavily. **Q: The soil disc were all wrapped together instead of individually and the soil had a hard time absorbing the water. Why was it wrapped individually? I’v** A: Hello! To protect the integrety of our soil discs during transit and to avoid dustiness inside of the bags, the soil discs are now being wrapped separately. I purchased a full kit some time ago and am just now having to purchase a refill for it. Still amazed everytime I add water to such a small amout of the soil as to just how much it literally grows into. But this refill size is perfect for the for container I received with the first kit. These seeds develop super quick as well and my babies, my "cats" both love this probably more than any treat or cat food I have ever given them. In fact Storm, my male cat knows exactly when I planted it, where I put it and watches it every single day to see if it's grown enough yet so he can get into it. "I am so, not making that up." Lol I even forgot where I put it the other day and asked him where did I put that catnip & he is literally sitting right about it near my sink which is where my bay window is & is poking at the ceran wrap I had on top of the planter. My husband was always amazed with him because he said he understands absolutely everything you say. Well? Yes they both do. Call it a gift, every animal I have ever had listens to me because I talk to them exactly as I would a human being. I almost gave a 4 star on the little wooden container, but chose not to because it may have been my fault. It is sturdy but is made of wood. I noticed this time, it did allow a little water, not much to seep through the bottom. So I simply put a paper towel underneath it which absorbed the little excess. Not a problem since I did that. So the container does function well. Just be careful to not put too much water in it. Not sure what to say about the plant variety? It's catnip, cats love catnip. Mine certainly love this since they cannot go outside to eat grass which they will do if they are trying to hack up a furball or have an upset stomach. Mine love celery leaves as well. In fact I have to literally keep moving it because they act as though it were cat nip. But I have recommended this item to a few people and plan to share a bit with my sister who has 3 cats. May get her one as a gift actually. But this works perfectly, it does last a few weeks and guaranteed it is something I know mine love and will eat. The price seems fair for what you get. I still had seeds left over from the first full kit. And now have plenty more. Would be nice if perhaps you could get 5 pods of the dirt because you get a lot of seeds which is very nice. I highly recommend for anyone with a cat or cats, they will love it and thank you for it. Shipping is fast & if you have a Storm like mine, just be mindful you are watching it more than he does. He is ready for this new batch and I am thankful to have it. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful supplement for cats. I wish I had taken a video of him pointing out to me where it was.
