These are the best hose I've ever found!For almost 23 years in the military I wore these with my dress blue uniforms and a pair of black leather pumps. For my white nurse uniform dresses, I wore them with white oxfords & they looked fine.I wear "Little Color" and they blend right into my skin tone. They have a very faint shimmer to them, which enhances the shape of your legs; it actually makes them look toned!You can dress them up or dress them down. They look equally great with dresses and slacks!These hose last forever! You simply wash them in cold water in the sink or in the washing machine (inside a lingerie bag) and hang them up to dry. They don't snag easily, either!Hanes Alive pantyhose are worth every penny!!

I'm a man in my late 30's with varicose veins in both my calves and starting in my inner thighs. I recently started looking at support hosiery, and I can't bring myself to paying for medical hosiery! When I first tried these, I ordered them in size "D" thinking as a man I'd need the larger size. When I tried them on, the support was great, but they were SUPER tight, especially at the knee. Then I took a closer look to the size chart on Hanes' site, and realized the "E" or "E/F" is sized for shorter women with larger legs, so I gave it a second chance (I'm 5'7" 170lbs and dropping!), and now Hanes E or E/F is just about perfect!I'm an instructor, and many days I spend 6-8 hours on my feet teaching, the difference while wearing these is absolutely amazing!And I won't lie, the are comfortable, and I have found many advantages! For one, no chaffing of the inner thigh! And there is the added warmth this time of year!In just the short few weeks of wearing these, I've notice my varicose veins have subsided considerably, and I would be happy if they just don't get any worse.These also seem VERY durable, yet still have a decent sheer feel to them. I've bumped into the rough edges of several objects with not damage to the hose!

I have osteoarthritis and I love to dance and they made my legs feel great especially my knees 😌. Great quality.

Easy to care for too

I bought a size based upon the sizing guidance on the package. My dimensions are well within the range. Fitting the hose onto my thighs was a nightmare. I have full thighs but they are proportional to my wide hips and thick waist. 😩The legs and tummy had appropriate compression. There was NO EASE for my thighs! I struggled to fit the stockings on my thighs. Imagine the chore getting them off to use the bathroom. It's as if the design of the hosiery had not taken into account that thighs are larger than ankles.These were wearable once owing to my obstinate desire to get some value from my purchase. I will never do that again. I devalued my own comfort and sensibilities.

I ordered these in a queen. Several people stated they were tight so i ordered up a size. I absolutely love the stocking (leg) section. They are tight, which to me equates into firm support. The material is durable and stretchy. A+++. The underwear part, F-. It is so loose and stretchy, I could fit 3 of me in there. No support at all. Very disproportionate. I'm not sure I would buy again because of that aspect.

As a healthcare professional I am on my feet all day & frequently standing. The higher spandex in the legs of Hanes Alive works great as a mild type of full leg compression stocking. It’s not graduated compression as it runs the same amount of spandex the full length of the leg, but it sure works to help with swelling & muscle fatigue on those 12 hour shifts. I can definitely tell a difference if I do not wear them to work even on 8 hour shifts. The higher spandex content makes them thicker and thus prevents a true “sheer” effect but by no means do they look like old lady compression hose and they are certainly less opaque than a pair of tights. They are fairly easy to get on- I put them on just like regular panty hose, just need a tad more effort pulling them upward thanks to the spandex. Measuring in at 5’4”, I am not tall, but my 135 pounds runs more to my hips/thighs so I wear a size C. I’ve worn the B but notice they tend to creep down as the day goes on and I have less of an issue with this in the larger size. No extra baggage in the lower leg with the larger size either. I wash in separate laundry bag with my other regular laundry and hang them to dry. Never had an issue with runs or holes doing this. I’ve worn these hose (not the same pair) for at least the last 15 years and they last for quite some time. I replace them as the spandex compression factor wears out, usually get half a dozen pairs and replace every 6 months working full time. Much cheaper than medical support hose and I can usually still wear them to church as they are still in good shape just have lost a little compression in the legs. If you are looking for a true thin sheer pair of hose, these are not for you. They have a good range of colors to choose from to match different flesh tones plus navy & black. I wholeheartedly endorse Hanes Alive if you are looking for something a bit “more” in your pantyhose. I’ve worn control top and regular, sheer & reinforced toe. I’ve had no real issues with any of them but tend lean toward control top (to keep the compression factor support going) and reinforced toe since I wear them with socks & regular shoes much of the time and walk a lot. Hope this review helps folks make the right choice and that if they do buy them, they work as well for them as they do me.

Have not worn hoping it is true to size

I wear nylons for everyday and I have to wear them when performing in musical theatre shows. These held up so well! I was able to wear one pair for 6 shows and two dress rehearsals (hand washed inbetween shows of course). Not a pull or run to be found!

Leider sind die Strumpfhosen kürz für mich, die Qualität scheint gut zu sein, eine stabile Stützstrumpfhose und die Farbe Barley There ist dunkler als abgebildet, ganz praktisch. Das die Strumpfhose minimal riecht weil sie ganz dicht im Karton geschlossen war fand ich kein Problem, ich würde sie lüften oder kurz waschen. Der Preis ist unglaublich gut für die Qualität.

They didn't increase the price a lot for many years but the quality is not the same.my favorite was Ivory color but they don't have it for many years

The hose is great and fits well too.
