I visited Petra years back and still think it is one of my best trips. It is absolutely fascinating. That is the reason I wanted more information. This book has helped. Thanks.

wonderful little book compact with lots of information- read this before heading out to the ancient city. Would definitely recommend getting a copy so that you know what to look out for whilst walking through the city. The signpostings alone in the city by the various “sites” don't delve into the details as much as this book does.

its sets Petra in context and helps to understand why Petra has been so well preserved. Drawings and photos are dated and the book is a soft back printed on shiny paper. its okay and not that expensive so its worth having to add detail to what you are going to see

was great for recent trip to petra. compact with enough detail & images to enhance & inform my visit, even though a little out of date.

Interesting to read the history before I arrive there next week. Glad I found out about the 800 steps to the Monastry before committing myself to going there. Will buy a Post Card instead.
