Guide Gear Men's Dry Hunting Parka, Insulated Waterproof Camo Hunt Jacket with Removable Hood

Just got the jacket today. Very impressed with the quality so far. Camo print is excellent. Good color. Nice soft and quiet outer shell. Many, many pockets but the snaps don't rattle and all the zippers are super quiet. I'm 5' 10" and I wanted a little room to layer underneath just for super cold days. This XL is a bit larger than I would really like but the next size down might be too tight if I really bulk up for the temp so I'm sticking with this size. It seems like it should be quite warm. I hunt in Michigan and October will probably be a little too warm for this jacket but the November or even December weather should be no problem. No smells noticed on the jacket but I wash everything in baking soda prior to the hunt so I'm not concerned about odors. Overall I'm going to give this an initial 5 Stars. We'll see how it holds up. The jacket that this one replaced had been used for the last 20 years. Big shoes to fill, lol.

Awesome hunting coat. I bought this coat for my daughter to keep her warm during her hunts. I liked it so much I’m buying myself one. It has hand guards, plenty of pockets, it’s warm, waterproof, and did I say it had plenty of pockets. I bow hunt a lot so I need to have a rangefinder, my cell phone flashlights, knives, etc. and usually carry a small bag with me. I no longer need that bag I can store everything in the pockets of the jacket. Not to mention it is very affordable.

Warm and comfortable

This product was one of my top choices going through Amazon, looking for a decent hunting parka. It's extremely comfortable, and the warmth is great with the kind of breathability that helps you not sweat with too much heat getting trapped.It's very quiet and repels water like you need it to when it starts dumping snow or rain. Way more pockets than I currently need but the options are there! They fit bigger stuff in the front waist pockets, and the breast pockets are big enough inside and out for things like a phone or notepad ect. Zippers are excellent, the wrist cuff/glove insert is a nice touch keeping the wind out as well as the waist string is on the lowest point of the jacket lining, fitting over any gear you may have on, it doesn't allow the breeze to come up the bottom end. Altogether it was an awesome choice for cold weather action, whatever you're doing this will make you cozy out there. 🤟

I bought this jacket for hunting in cold weather. For the most part it worked well, but when the wind got to 20MPH, and higher which is pretty common for where I hunt I noticed it a little bit. I wasn't cold, but for a jacket that's billed as wind proof, the wind did make a difference. I ordered a Medium according to their size chart, and it fit pretty well. I'm 5'6" and weigh 155 lbs. with a 41" chest. The jacket has room for layering, but if I had to do it over again I'd order a Large. I wear a fanny pack, and the Medium didn't have enough stretch in the waist to allow for for the pack. A large would have been better. There's tons of pockets which is always a good thing, and the Camo pattern is nice and detailed. All in all it's a good jacket, and I'd probably buy it again. Just a size bigger.

Works great for late season Turkeys out in the PNW.

Parka appears to to be well made! Now waiting for cold weather to come back so I can try the parka for warmth and water resistance
