Works like a dream
The media could not be loaded. The slicer works really well. The blades are nice and sharp. The only reason I rated this a 4 is because it really should come with something to place the blades in, but other than that I love it.

I won't cut my fingers anymore, and it's easy to use
It seems like a good produce with the little I have used it.

Safest I have ever used
I've had this mandolin on hand for a while. I was nervous to try it. I love the beautiful cuts that a mandolin provides. I love the consistency of thickness that it gives. I love the speed with which you can complete a tedious slicing chore. BUT! Oh my gosh, the blades freak me out! After a trip to the farmer's market this morning, I decided to finally get brave and try it. Wooooow! I am totally converted! Admittedly, I was very slow on the uptake as to how to get this thing together. I didn't find the directions particularly helpful, but the photos and videos provided online were a lifesaver! I tried out tri-colored carrots, daikon radish and cucumber! I've never done French fry style cuts before. I'm sure it would be more effective with a chubby potato, but it was fun. The safety features are rock solid! At no time did I feel like I could accidentally cut myself. This is a great product!

Pleasantly surprised
Very innovative product. I usually am not a fan of kitchen items that are made bulky or overly complicated for the sake of safety or convenience. Fancy hand crank cheese graters are an example. Sure once you put them together they work fine. But the set up, tear down, cleaning and storage issues have always made me leave ours in the cabinet in favor of an old fashion hand grater. This mandoline slicer has found a place in our kitchen though. It’s a great slicer, and I really didn’t notice losing much time compared to a traditional madoline where you could potentially grate your fingers. You can just drop your onion into the hopper and slice away carefree. The different blades offer a variety of cutting patterns and are very easily changed and washed. That’s the biggest bonus IMHO. We have a small kitchen and storage space is precious. I especially like how everything fits together and collapses into a small’ish footprint. Well done.

Safest Mandolin I’ve Ever Used
The media could not be loaded. This is the safest mandolin I’ve ever used and it provides good results. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because the chute is very large and there are no provisions for a smaller one, such as when slicing one carrot or celery stick. I learned it is important to nut the flat side of the celery facing down. The ther reason that contributed to 4 stars instead of 5 is storage.

Easy to use and clean and i love the safety features
I'm very happy with the Vihoom Mandoline Slicer! It is sturdy, easy to assemble, and easy to use. The cutting blades switch out quickly and there is a good variety of slicing options. The food chute really is big enough to load with a large potato, onion, or a handful of carrots. The "food pusher" is my favorite feature though, because it prevents me from slicing my fingers. The food container is handy and did a good job of catching the slices. To store, I disassemble it and put all the parts in a plastic basket in the cupboard. This is by far the best mandoline I have tried. It's a keeper!

Plastic piece broke off and almost cracked my tooth
The first time we used it, a plastic ‘tooth' fell off the contraption and almost broke my tooth. Not a safe tool at all.
