CableMod Pro ModMesh Sleeved 12V-2x6 PCIe Cable for EVGA (Black, 2 x 8p)

Exactly what I needed. Tried 2! power supplies with the new 12v on them and neither worked. This is great for systems from before they changed to the new 12v style video cards and plugs right in just like if it was OEM. The cable is extremely high quality too, none of it feels like cheap crap. Cable looks good with the other cables as well and matches like it came out of the box and has the perfect length if you want to do proper cable manager. Would highly recommend to anyone needing to upgrade to a new video card with an older PSU.

EVGA shipped an earlier version of this cable with its power supply. Unfortunately over time those earlier cables are known to lose connectivity through their sense/data pins, and in my particular case, this would cause the connected card to start overheating and crash. A Falcon Northwest technician pointed me towards this cable, and I installed it after screwing up the courage to do so. I made sure that the 12VHPWR connector was very firmly connected into the card, with no gaps. Immediately the new cable brought the temperature problems I was having with my NVIDIA RTX 4090 under control. I even subjected the card to 90 minutes of FurMark 2 - the ultimate torture test - with the new cable. Never once broke 60 degrees C. With the old cable it would have folded within 5 minutes. Thumbs up to CableMod for an excellent product at a great price.

This works perfectly with my RTX 5090. The amount of PCIe cables before was absurd and the NVIDIA adapter is just an eyesore to look at. This is super clean and worked perfectly with my EVGA P2 1200 PSU. Only (minor) gripe is the length. I have a CaseLabs STH10 (super, super tower) and the PSU is mounted on top so the cable was just enough to reach. Still, 5 stars for the build quality and wiring thickness.

Good quality product. I bought this to use in reverse— to power a 3090 card from the more Modern 600w connector. This did not work, but the product is good quality and works well to power a newer GPU from an older power supply.

The cable was super easy to install, a great length, and appears to be very durable / high quality and not at all flimsy. I really appreciated the installation instructions, which included common pitfalls to avoid when installing the cable to prevent lasting damage to my GPU. I've had this cable for about a month, and so far no issues at all. If I was buying this cable again, I would probably opt for the version which has a 90° connector at the tip instead of this variant (it would fit better in my case).

Great cables. Feels well-made, and the included cable combs make it easy for a clean aesthetic. I got these mainly to avoid using the ugly & dangerous GPU adapter that comes with all the RTX 50 series.

My Gigabyte RTX4080 has black screen problem, when it happens, the monitor turns to black screen, GPU fan goes to 100%, but sound is still audible. I searched from internet and found this is a common problem. I sent my card to RMA and Gigabyte tested it and said the card is working fine. So I studied deeper, found that the sensor pin in the 12vhpwr adapter might be the reason. I purchased this StealthSense cable, it does not have the 2 sensor pin. It is working as it should. So far so good, I will update my comment if I find the black screen issue again. Update 10/24/2024: After two weeks of usage, no black screen and 100% fan issue found. Problem solved! BTW, I am using 16-pin to Quad 8-pin cable for my 4080, maybe a little overdesign, but for the same price, why not.

These look 1000x better than the 4 to 1 adapter they give you in the 5090 box. It also comes with a plastic bit to keep you from bending too much at the gpu connection. So far so good, but only time will tell with these crappy 12hpwr connectors that Nvidia insists on using for their high end GPUs. I’ve added pictures of what they look like now vs what they used to look like.

Hasta ahora va bien, parece de buena calidad, y la estética es lo mejor. La uso en una evga super nova g5 750w

El cable cumple su funcion, esta perfecto para una RTX 4080 super, lo recomiendo mucho sin detalles.

Compre esto para conectar mi fuente de poder que ya tenía un poco viejita pero sirve bastante bien a mi nueva RTX 5070 y la verdad le va bastante bien no he tenido ningún problema y llego bastante rapido
