We have a fairly unique situation where the only way onto the property is the tree-lined driveway. This allows us to monitor all access with a simple driveway alarm system, which we have used for a dozen or so years. I got this Bistee wireless driveway alarm system to replace one that has worked perfectly for years, but finally died from old age. This Bistee wireless driveway alarm claims to be “next-gen” with reduced false alarms, although we never had a problem with old faithful. The units were paired nicely out of the box, but it took a little tweaking to get it to play the tone we selected from the 58 available. Some of them are pleasing and others are not so much, but I am sure everyone will find one they like. The literature and the video are somewhat unclear about the mounting and make it appear that it is almost impossible to replace the batteries, when in reality there is a standard ball/socket on the mounting plate that you simply unscrew to remove the unit. I mounted the unit where we had the old one and it seems to be functioning as well as old faithful. Another good thing about this Bistee wireless driveway alarm is it costs about 1/3 as much as the unit it is replacing.

Easy install, works great!

I purchased this driveway alarm in March 2024 & it worked beautifully. The alarm was loud & never missed a car, person, bird or animal. It lasted almost 1 years before it completely died. The battery life was pretty decent.

This is perfect for a staircase where you can’t see. It works! Anyone that comes up the steps I know immediately hear the alarm!

Not waterproof. After a thunderstorm, I noticed the motion sensor was no longer lighting up. It was full of water. I had the screws tight and it was put together fine, but there is no extra battery cover besides the hood that goes over the whole device. The batteries leaked all inside of it after it became full of water as well, rendering it a safety hazard and overall useless. I don't recommend this for outdoor use. It worked fine prior... was easy to set up and use. It's unfortunate that it isn't water/weatherproof.

I can tell already that the battery replacement is going to be a hassle. Four screws with tiny little silicone gaskets is a recipe for aggravation. The alarm sounds are exactly what you would expect from a 1970's doorbell gadget. Totally hokey. Seems to work though! With very little extra design work, this thing could be five stars.

I don’t understand I purchased them around 9 months ago and they stopped working. Replaced the batteries and still nothing they’re in perfect condition no water damage whatsoever but they just won’t do anything.
