The setup for this item is really difficult, but once done, it doesn't have to be done at all.However, as bad as the programing is, the real reason for the low review is that they don't last long.Bought them in January. By April, one of the remotes stopped working. Because I had the second one, I didn't care that much. One month later, the second failed.Thinking it might be the battery, opened them. Yes, it was the battery but not in the way I expected. There is a metal casing in which the battery is inserted. The positive side is welded into the electronic board. But the welding was weak, and the entire casing detached, thus the remote went dead. Both of them had the same issue.

It was able to connect to my opener, and now, if I forget my garage door button in the other car, I can just walk up and get it open! Thanks for an affordable option.

I got this to replace my old Genie garage door keypad and I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out. This one seems to be far superior to my original keypad. It was so easy to program and it works wonderful.

I have the OEM Genie keypad that came with my opener when I got it about a year ago. I like the opener in general but the keypad is terrible. The buttons are mushy, so they don't register me pressing them unless I press very hard and there is no feedback to know if it registered a button press or not. I usually have to enter the code 2 or 3 times to get it to open the door.This keypad looks nearly identical to the OEM one but works much better. The keys are easy to press and there is an audible beep when they are pressed so I know it registered the keypress. So, so much easier to use. They also put the holes in exactly the same place so replacing it was super easy. Genie should contract with this company to make their openers.

I have the intelli-code door opener but this opener did not work.My older remote openers worked.I followed the instructions accurately multiple times, but no results.In fact, this disrupted the door opener functions of the cars and hand opener.There was no support phone number to call since it was made in China.Avoid this door opener.

The keypad for my garage came with the house, it's over 20 years old and is held together with duct tape. Yeah, it's time.The GK-R Replacement for Genie Garage Door Keypad was easy to install with the included screws and wall anchors (I didn't need them), and similarly easy to program. I particularly like its ability to work with up to 3 openers with a single code, you just select which door you want after entering the code and voila, no need for separate keypads. You can also set up temporary codes (same with my current one). The keypad is backlit and comes with the two required AA batteries, I was pleasantly surprised.
