BioGuard Smart Shock, 1 lb, 12 Pack

I use this for spot treatments for the pool steps and those corners of the pool that get the most intense sunlight and show algae early. You can sprinkle directly above the trouble spots and let gravity carry it down. The granules stay intact all the way to the bottom and dissolve shortly after that. As long as you get it close, it will work. The algae is usually gone by the time I put the container away. Safe for swimming 15 minutes after use. Amazing stuff!

This stuff keeps my pool crystal clear and it’s easy to use. I’ve used it for several years. It is worth the money.

I had green algee for a whole summer next summer I ended up getting green to blue got my pool back .then I used this product I ve tried every chlorine bag from every maker and none of them are as awesome as this product! Blue water to clear kept my pool levels and visual appearance looking nice the whole season we'll worth the price

This product is shown in a Bioguard box. You receive 12 bags shoved in a smaller box. I know it’s only pool chlorine, but the presentation is misleading. Bioguard is the best for pools, but every product is so expensive!

Just so very hard to open, no directions

I had what was finally identified as white algae sudden show up in my pool. I was not familiar with this infestation and had to do some research to figure out what to do about it. The local big chain pool company was not that helpful and was recommended 4-5 things to add all at once....seemed there had to be a better way, so, as I said, I did some research. I have a salt water pool so, I took that into consideration when deciding upon a treatment method. I also have grandchildren who live in the pool during the summer so, that, too, was a primary consideration. This product seems the best base on the eco-friendly biochemical formulation they use. It is a weekly to bi-weekly treatment for my pool, takes about 3-minutes, and is safe to swim in 15 minutes! Best of all, IT WORKS!!! After the first treatment I say immediate results. I did double the dosage the first treatment, but afterwards just have been following the recommended weekly treatment program. NO MORE WHITE GUNK showing up in the pool and the filters are cleaner, lasting longer as well. I do think the product is expensive but, based on the results, I will continue to use until I can no longer afford it. I have been disappointed to not be able to buy the single use containers, having now to buy the large bucket (always a pain to store these bucket bulk items due to floorspace consumption). However, I kept one of the single use containers and just fill it up prior to use and store the bucket remotely...works for me. I highly recommend this product for control of pesty algae and other bio related issues that show up in pools...great product!
