Fast Shipping and great pen!
I love this pen! I received it in the mail brand new and still in the original box a week early which is awesome because now I can start using it when Inktober starts and not during. It is a refillable pen which is awesome, it came with an extra ink cartridge (as shown in the picture) and it works very well~! It was recommended by Jake Parker, creator of Inktober, and he says, "My work horse. It has a nylon brush tip, and offers a smooth and powerful line but can also give you fun expressive lines too. I've been drawing with this pen for years and it holds up to a beating, yet will still give you a fine delicate line if you need it. I highly recommend it." The only problem you could probably have with the pen is setting it up if you can't read Japanese.. But the picture on the back of the packaging shows you a picture of how to set it up and the ink cartridge has an arrow on it to tell you which way it is supposed to face the inside of the pen. Basically you unscrew the bottom part of the pen, insert the ink cartridge with the arrow facing the tip of the pen, and then screw the bottom part of the pen back on.

It's perfect. Theres some ink that keeps getting on my ring finger but I probably just hold pens funny haha

Great portable brush pen with durable nylon bristles for varying strokes.
I saw a review from an artist who uses one of these brush pens and decided to pick one up for use during Inktober. I loved the idea of having one I could just toss into my bag with a sketchbook or Traveler's Notebook insert. It was easy to fill with one of the two enclosed cartridges of India ink. The enclosed ink is good, but I don't care for disposable cartridges (too much waste) and want to use my own ink of choice. When the included ink runs out, I will refill the cartridge myself with Dr. Ph. Martin's Black Star India Ink - my favorite of India ink (easy to do with a syringe and blunt-tip needle made for this purpose). If the bristles hold up as long as everyone says, I will be using this pen for a long time to come. Great buy!

Easy to use and
This is my first brush pen, and I really like it. It arrived MUCH sooner than I was expecting! The line is really smooth, and you can paint over it with watercolor and it doesn't bleed. The only thing is, because of the way I hold my pens, the part that screws on the bottom becomes unscrewed after I've been drawing with it for a while. Nevertheless, it is still a quality pen and I am very excited to use it

Great Brush Pen
I bought the pen to practice Kanji. The pen is very nice for the price. After the included ink were used up I saved the cartridges and syringe filled them with fountain pen ink. I've been using it like this ever since with no problem with the fountain ink. In my experience, the cartridges fit snug upon reuse and don't need additional lube to use with this technique. The springiness of the brush is very low. You can flatten it out completely; to reform you need to roll it back into shape. (Hold the pen and brush it on the side of bristles in a circular motion to reform.) Because of the lack of springiness, there is a learning cure to get the best results form the pressure used with the pen.Happy writing

High quality and a pleasure to use so far
I haven't run through a whole cartridge of ink yet but so far it's been a pleasant experience. Although it's almost all plastic, I can tell that it's well constructed. It takes a little while for the ink to make its way into and to saturate the brush head so be patient. The instructions on the back were all in Japanese, which I don't read, so if there's anything I was supposed to do in preparation or any special care instructions I'm out of luck.

The brush nib is the best!
A lot of pens have brush nibs that are made up of solid material but this one is made up of actual, individual hairs - it truly mimics a quality watercolor brush. The effects are that my strokes are perfect every time! I especially like to use it for drawing eyelashes!

Fantastic
Incredibly easy to use for line art! The ink doesn't smudge once you let it dry for a minute, and you can change the thickness of your stroke by different pressures you put on it. Only downside is that I wish it came with more refills, but it's still an amazing product.

Excellent portable Inking Brush
An excellent inking brush that I use with me in the field or on the road. No need for ink pots, or a brush kit, I can quickly sketch what I need at moments notice and maintain that organic brush feeling in my artwork. Love these Pentel pens.

Consigliatissima come Pen Brush.

A fine brush pen
The brush pen works very well giving you thin to very thick lines. If you are looking to introduce line variety in your art, this would be very good. All that said though, this is just a pen that works well if the user has enough skills and experience to make it work. The pen will not magically make you a better artist. You still need the practice to be able to use this pen.
