Astro Tools 78354 10-Piece 3/8" Drive 6 Point Pinless Universal Torque-Saver Impact Extension Socket Set - Metric

Saw these and it was a fraction of the price for a well known set. This is equivalent in price as one swivel extension from the trucks that sells tools. Came in a good quality and durable case and had good amount of grease on the sockets to prevent rust as with most sockets. Fits in all 3/8 impact drives and ratchets. As for the functionality, it does not come out easily or have difficulty putting it in. It’s really well made and holds the sockets in place. Just finished a job at my house to replace lower control arms, struts, inner and outer tie rods, and a bunch of other things. If the sockets held its grip for suspension work, then it has no issues with under hood engine work. I’m surprised that these are so cheap but the quality is so high. I really put these sockets to use to break some suspension bolts and nuts. The numbers on the sockets are large and looks good, easy to read. This is a great purchase and a great buy! The sockets really held its shape after very heavy use, I’m really surprised! Great product!

This is a GREAT set and yet another home run from astro!! These things are a full 10 piece, no skip set, with a nice blow molded case as well. Matco has a this EXACT SAME set that is split into 2 separate sets, and the complete set from matco retails for over $600!!! Yes, to get the full 10-19 mm set from matco, your looking at about $615 plus tax, but for this entire set, it is only $113!! How have these things not made a youtube debut yet?? This is a great set, at an even better price!! These type of tools are a luxury, and are not necessarily something you have to have in your toolbox, but at $113 for the set, you don't have to break the bank to have these in your aresenal!! I am just in awe over this set, and how cheap they are compared to matco! Astro does it yet again!! ****UPDATE**** These things have been taking an absolute beating. I've literally taken these things up through there and they keep chugging. I've even attached my 1/2 impact gun with an adapter to these things for certain stubborn fasteners, and they eat it up like it's nothing. Astro now has a 1/2" version with sizes from 13mm-24mm available!! Part number #78254

These are so good. Literally quit working on my wife's car just to come write this review. I would say if you wrench professionally/enthusiastically these are a must have for the price point.

Yes my set is very durable

When working with impacts and extensions, the extension twists with every blow, stealing power. a swivel similarly robs some power, because of slop in the swivel joint. I use these with a cordless impact that's a bit marginal for some uses, but it's small, so it fits places my more powerful impacts don't. That means when I try to use an extension and a swivel, which is pretty common on brake work, there isn't always enough ugga duggas to get stuff loose, and I have to use a ratchet. These have a thicker extension, which means they twist less, so more power on the bolt. I think they've also improved the swivel, it's not as floopy as most of my other impact swivels. The downside of the thicker extension is that these are heavy. Not a problem for me, I don't carry them around. They also don't swivel quite as far as some my other swivels, by maybe a degree or two, but with the extension, that's not been a problem. They come in a nice blow molded case, with real hinges and good latches. I'm sure it will hold up, like the other Astro cases I have. It's got a part number molded into the top, I'd really like to see some text, because 78354 won't mean anything to me in a day or three.

Astros never let me down. This sockets can handle the torque,are the perfect thickness ,fit and are plenty durable! Then function great and if you think they feel stiff at first out the box I assure you they aping nice even at high angle
