Oregon ScientificPE316PM Pedometer with Pulse Meter

I have loved my new Pedometer. I know exactally where I am as far as my steps are and so I can get moving towards my goals. I also love the Pulse meter. It is easy enough for my 4 year old to see how fast his heart is beating. Seems to be very accurate. You are able to put in your stride length and your weight and it measures you calories burned, distance traveled, it has a timer. Just about everything you would need to stay on track!

While I found the device fairly accurate - the hinged back broke over after about 3 months (just when the warranty runs out) it is plastic and on the flimsy side. I will check first, when I replace this.Without the proper mounts on the back, the device is essentially worthless.

I really am pleased with my purchase of this pedometer. Anyone purchasing one has to first realize that it is just a gadget, it won't help you lose weight, unless YOU do the workout! What it's done for me is motivate me to walk more steps each day and to make a good portion of those steps at a brisker pace. I've been wearing mine for about 3 weeks now, increased my speed and my steps and have lost 8 lbs. already. Great motivational tool for me. Only drawback is the pulse feature, it's sometimes hard to get it to read the pulse.

Don't know why this model pedometer is so darn hard to find but I was thrilled when I found it. Have been using it daily for several years and can't imagine being without it. It so helps to track the mileage accumulated in a day - whether it's from exercise or simply moving about. My old model finally died. Guess I wore it out.

Unnecessarily hard to setup, works well and is fairly accurate. The pulse feature is hard to get to read accurately. Instructions are good but too many modes and multi functions.
