Great needles.
I use these needles for piecing my quilt tops and have never had a problem with them. They don’t burr even when I use them longer than I should.

I love Schmetz needles.
When I first began sewing, I had a lot of other well known name brand needles and I broke them, bent them, and had skipped stitches consistently. I won't name the brand here but... I will NEVER buy from them again. Finally a sweet elder lady at a small fabric shop tsked me for using anything but Schmetz. So I tried this brand. Yes, I occasionally break a Schmetz needle because I am careless pulling the fabric, getting in a hurry while sewing around metal boning, or doing some other silly thing I shouldn't while sewing. But overall, these needles last 10x longer than others, I can sew really tricky fabrics with Schmetz with far fewer problems. In fact these microtex needles I bought specifically to sew lingerie fabrics with slinkiness, stretch and usually a lot of frustration. Not with these. Even on my ancient Husqy viking machine, I can sew bras as fine, if not finer than anything you can buy at an overpriced store. And I know a very big part of my success is that I only use Schmetz now. Whether its thick faux fur blankets, jersey knit yoga pants, silky bras, thick leather or denim... Schmetz has a needle for it and it will work if you have the patience to learn how to make it. Both on my sewing machine and serger. In other words, regardless of your project, Schmetz needles are what you need. Maybe not the microtex - it all depends on your fabric, but do a bit of research on what kind of point you need, size, and the best needle type for your project, and then save yourself a lot of frustration and money and just buy the Schmetz needles.
